Peterborough- bonus Tesla supercharger site.

Tesla has announced their new SC sites worldwide. Though most of the expansion in North America, we have got our own Peterborough as one of the bonus sites. I guess this is on top of the new Tesla service centre planned in Bar hill, Cambridge. That is 4 sites in Cambridgeshire (Trumpington, St Neots, Bar hill (upcoming) and Peterborough (just in). Not many but distributed across the county.

Thorpe meadows or Serpentine green is the most likely area. But to be honest, if it is closer to the A1 services will be more convenient. But Tesla rarely do that, so we have to wait.

Around that area was where I was thinking, we will see. Serpentine green seems the obvious choice with the Tesco and Costa etc

Irrespective of your prejudice I support Tesla’s decision to select this as a bonus site. There is a gap there especially if you are coming from the North to the East via A1 and RWD cars are on the limit if you skip Rugby and you are not on to Grantham etc.,
