Thank you.

So the price seems comparable. 25,800 miles for $47,500 vs 68,000 miles for $38

I think you're confusing listing price vs selling price. That car will not sell for $38K. I think paying $47,500 for a 7 year old car, of almost any kind, is insane.

I'll also say this- I know that is a "signature color" but red is not the most popular color for Teslas, based on what I've seen in selling trends on ev-cpo.

I agree but will put a little different spin on it. I got a lot more than $47,500 for my 19 year old Porsche 911(993) two years ago. Of course as Porsche fans know 993s have been in demand for several years, but only after many years of depreciating.

I could see that early VIN Signature car possibly being worth a lot someday, but probably not after only 7 years. Of course it would help if those early cars are judged as exceptional vis-a-vis later models as was the case with the 993s compared to newer 911’s like the 996’s. I am skeptical that will ever happen with the early S’s but who knows.

Fortunately for the OP owner, he only needs to find one person who wants a really low VIN Signature S right now. So why not try to find that person?

“Original”??? You know Tesla was making their signature car 4 years before your car.
