Ontario Delivery Phone Call

I just chatted with my delivery specialist. I called her after getting her direct number from sales.
1) Canadian production starts next week.
2) Once car is built then VIN is updated on your Account Page and replaces the RN
3) Once I see this I can call her to narrow down the time.
4) Ottawa deliveries happen a few days after they arrive as they are able to arrange for a truck to ship them to Ottawa. No special place for deliveries so I assume my home.
5) They do not know for sure when these cars will arrive so some specialists are being more conservative in their estimates. In other words it is a pure guesstimate on their part.

Did anyone ask how many "Delivery Specialists" there are for Ontario?...

...still waiting for the call... (sigh)

I asked the reception when I called and was told 4 specialists are dedicated.
I got two different answers in regards to how many each specialist had to call and it was between 100-200 each so approx. in the range of 400-800 cars total. Can someone else verify this?

I got a call this afternoon as well. Left a message. Delivery first couple of weeks in June. Toronto delivery will be at the Internation Center at YYZ (Pearson). Left a callback but goes to a mailbox.

Replying to myself here. I called back the DS at Tesla this morning that left me the message yesterday and actually got through. The International Center June delivery event will be quite large with a ‘lot’ of Model 3’s. They mentioned 1000’s. They reiterated delivery should the first couple of weeks in June. They are financing through RBC and Scotia. Rates will depend on the term. They mentioned 4.49% for 96 months. When asked what term I was interested in I stated 60 months and they mentioned 3.99% for 60 months but stated RATES ARE NOT YET FINALIZED. Loan applications should be available ‘very soon’. The person who calls you is, and will be, your DS throughout the process.

Interestingly the Invit to Cofigure email went to my wife’s email (my alternate contact) on Mar 27 and the call yesterday that we missed went to my wife’s phone. I had them correct this info for me. Even though the ‘My Account’ on the website shows my correct email and phone # their info was different showing my wife’s phone # with my email.

Thanks for the update. I really hope they get 72 months under 4%. That's what i'm aiming at just to keep payments low. Hopefully they can still surprise everyone and delivery it June 2nd for almost everyone. (i just assume it'll be a Saturday for some reason). Don't want to wait longer than that. LOL

I was wondering if anyone knows what the cut-off is for the first batch of orders? I got my invite to configure last week (04/25/2018), and configured that same night for my reservation made on 04/22/2016.

How grim is it looking for me (in terms of the 14k EVIP rebate in Ontario)?

There's no rhyme or reason to it, it seems. I ordered March 27 and was told I'm not part of the first batch.

Hey Tony, out of curiousity when did you first reserve?

I have the same config (Red, Aero, EAP) no VIN yet. Reserved ~30th in line GTA March 31st 2016 (Lawrence store opened before Yorkdale that morning). Wondering if owner or reservation line position makes any difference

Then it's going to be pretty bad :( I ordered pretty much the same as what you picked (red w/ 18" aero + EAP)
Don't worry about the EVIP. If they are taking it off they should have the curtesy to honour people who had placed their orders. They did it when they changed the run in March for the Model X and Model S. Imagine the amount of Bolts, Leafs etc that will not be delivered before the election but are on order. EV owners will be screaming

I reserved online on April 1st, 2016. Invited on March 22nd. I'm tagged as a previous owner which is why I got my invite in the first batch.

Oh man, if that's what they'll do in this case I would be really happy. I love this car overall, but that 14k would really make this thing more affordable.

I configured March 27th. No email, no phone call, no VIN. I'm getting nervous. Pressing F5 doesn't seem to speed it up at all. Any point in calling them?

Red, 19" Sport, all the options, GTA.

I have the same config as you and no VIN yet. I did call Tesla though and was told (as have others) that production on Canadian cars starts on Monday and that local deliveries will be late May and early June (not holding my breath on that one)

So we're getting assigned VINs before they even produce these cars? If they're starting on Monday and producing them all by the end of next week or following week, they should be ready to ship by Mid May for delivery the last week.

I wondered about that. Was going to say that maybe some that have already been produced were matched to Canadian orders but I don't know how different Canadian Model 3s are from US cars and whether that could be the case. Could be that they actually started on Canadian cars earlier than they said.
