Just wanted to document a solution to a problem I was having from one of the relatively recent software updates: folks on the other end of my Bluetooth, through the car mic/speakers phone calls, would experience an echo of their own voices.
This happens on our model 3, but not on our model x.
The solution was to use iPhones "voice isolation" feature. I was tipped off to use it in the following thread: Phone Bluetooth quality suddenly awful
If your call recipients say that they hear their voice echoing, you can set this voice isolation feature to resolve the issue.
Instructions to enable voice isolation are here on apple's website: Use Voice Isolation or Wide Spectrum during a call on your iPhone and iPad
Just note that setting the mic mode to voice isolation only becomes visible when you are in a voice call!
