Does anyone have an update on this topic. It seems to responders are saying that if an off peak meter installed, the "On Peak" will be higher that normal. DO I have this right?
Yes, on peak with time of use is usually higher than the flat rate with no time of use. Check to see if they would allow a second meter, that way you would only have the Tesla on a separate line. Dominion in VA let me do it. I have one time of use meter for the Tesla and one meter for everything else at standard flat rates. You have to calculate the cost if running a dedicated line from the time of use meter to the charge point for the Tesla balanced against your cost savings. In VA my flat rate is 0.12 and super off peak is 0.08.
