When newer P90DLs start hitting 10.9s in the next month, what will owners of older P90DLs do when they realize their cars can't hit 10.9 without that new battery.
Good find. I doubt that means you couldn't use the later battery on earlier cars. It probably just specifies which battery should be used with which car for purposes of replacement.
So P00DLs made on 4/11 or later are making more a lot more power than pre 4/11 cars it would seem.
Might be but then it begs the question are Teslas really future upgrade able because the document clearly states when to use certain batteriesSo no one is saying it yet, but wouldn't it be reasonable to say that one possible reason these packs are explicitly not to be used in anything other than the latest build P90Ds is that these are the 100kw packs? Would make sense that only new cars could handle the modified circuitry or whatever it is that will come from the bigger pack.
Possibly wishful thinking, as I have a new P90DL entering production in the next few days.,,
Has there been more than one Model S example demonstrating more than the 456KW so far?
On the one hand, if this is hardware related then pre 3/16 owners won't take it well.
If it's from an OTA update that we all overlooked, then it would be interesting to see if it has any benefit in terms of power, for the other cars.
He meant 474thats... really really high.

Now we know why the motor trend car was so fast..
Interesting.... Also, my rated range is 247/275 at 90/100% which is more than Tesla claims on their site for the P90D. Would be interested to know what the older P90Ds were getting at delivery. Of course, this could also just be how software is displaying the range...perhaps based on the refreshed body style (i.e. better aero?).

Does the power gauge on the cluster show well past 400kw also? Do you have a pic?My car was made prior to 4/11.
Battery Part number:
1071394-00-A
The screen shot I posted on 2/19 of an X P90DL clearly making way more power than any S Ludicrous has made before. Remember, this is a logarithmic scale. That's half way to the 800 tick mark which means it's roughly 500 KW.
My MS battery has the same part number as yours, so I'm eagerly awaiting to see if the latest FW boosts your power to match your MX or if the difference is in the hardware.my S is: 1063792-00-A
my X is: 1071941-00-A
Mine is also the same. Looking forward to your firmware update results.my S is: 1063792-00-A

Which software version are you on?
Alex
Did it perform the same on 2.20.30 or 45? Or has it noticeably improved?Yes it does but I've never bothered to take a picture of it.
