New Charge Port Design for cold weather

Any additional info you could provide on this? I assume you were having cold weather related issues with the charge port and the service center or a mobile tech replaced it? Do you know what is different with this new one specifically?

Yes more info please. I need a permanent fix for the freezing issues I've had. I assume this was covered under warranty?
