Despite comments by Elon to the contrary long ago around when the X was announced, Tesla has yet to deliver (with or without aftermarket assistance) a solution for those wanting to get an electric wheelchair or scooter in and out of the vehicle.

We've been looking for a while now (years off and on) for an aftermarket option and many come pretty close but there's no prepackaged option that we've found.

We've talked with many folks in the space and it seems that nobody that is doing conversions to install ramps wants to touch an EV of any kind.

As an example, Kia Soul's with ramps are readily available but at least 4 different companies we've talked to (directly/indirectly) that do the conversions are completely unwilling to touch anything labelled "EV". They even do Chrysler Pacifica (hybrid!) but not EV.

It's been very frustrating. If I was in my 20s and has some "food money" cushion, it seems like there's a great business opportunity (those that have mobility needs and the desire to move beyond ICE) here that nobody seems interested in capturing.

Has anybody else come across any person or company interested in doing a conversion to install a ramp into any EV on the market?
