I have been the happy owner of a Light Harmonic amp/speakers in my 2016 Model S and am now in the approach pattern to upgrade from MCU1 to MCU2 (darn screen leak!).
I uninstalled the LH amp temporarily and reinstalled the factory UHFS amp so there won't be any questions doing the MCU1 to 2 conversion and am getting the new XM/FM tuner.
My question is are there any performance issues using the original LH amp with MCU2? I asked Light Harmonic and they said my amp could be upgraded for a fee, otherwise there is an annoying thump on startup. Anyone have experience along these lines?
