Ideal SOC for long term storage

Tesla Owners: I’m being assigned a role outside of the country and will need to leave my MY in my garage for several months. What would be the ideal state of charge to minimize battery degradation? It will be plugged in the whole time. Should I shut down the hardware as well?

If I were doing that, I would do exactly what @Big Earl said. Set it to 50%, and leave it plugged in. I might also consider buying some of those "prevent tire flat spot" ramp thingies from Amazon, if the car really wasnt going to be moved for months.

RIP Ron(below). I also would say 50%. Set it and forget it. I leave the 3 for two or three months here and there all the time.

The other option is to disconnect the low battery for storage which will isolate the high voltage battery.

I recall reading it in the Tesla manual but I don’t recall when they suggested using that strategy.
