Ice build-up right above wipers (when below freezing temps)

Question for those currently in snowy / below freezing areas of the planet.

Had my first snowy driving conditions today. A fair bit below freezing, some light/medium snowfall. I had the defrost fan on pretty high which is what I normally do in an ICE vehicle to warm up the window to allow the wipers to be effective.

The temp inside would keep the window warm enough to melt the snow / ice on most of the window, except for a small part right above where the wipers come up. There would be ice build-up enough to make the wipers kinda useless as they’d always scrape against the ice build-up before having the ability to wipe the water off the main part of the window.

Anyone else experiencing this?

Thanks.
