How to get Keyboard and Mouse to work in Steam?

In the Tesla Holiday Update promo video, it shows one of their engineers using a keyboard and mouse while playing Cyberpunk in the car. Even Elon tweeted that keyboard + mouse works. I tried to connect a Keybaord and mouse via usb, it didn't seem to recognize it at all. Does anyone know how to get a Keyboard and Mouse to work in Steam?

Maybe connect with Bluetooth? The image does show a cable, which seems to indicate USB.

As this thread is one of the top hits when you Google “using keyboard mouse on steam Tesla”

The answer is yes. It works fine. Just plug in your USB keyboard/mouse (or wireless dongle) into one of the USB-C ports (with a converter as needed) at the bottom of the center console.

Custom Kira keyboard with USB C works. Couldn’t get the Logitech MX Anywhere 2s to work via Bluetooth though…wouldn’t show up in Bluetooth device search.

I tried the search bar and keyboard did not see to function outside of steam. Not a single key press triggered anything on the standard tesla screen.

Sadly whatever I tried - no keyboard or mouse worked. Any relevant Gamepad works ok, but doesn’t solve mouse-only games problems.

Anybody solves the issue?

Rebooting with USB-hub installed or plugging in different times - with steam running or not did not help at all. Other keyboards or mice didn’t work too.

Bluetooth keyboard were not recognized (probably due to some “Bluetooth classic” reason explained in menu)
