How to check if Automatic Emergency Braking is Enabled?

I've had the Automatic Emergency Braking Disabled popup a few times on my brand new Model Y. It only appears for less than 5 seconds then disappears.

It appears randomly.

Is there a way to check if it is enabled after the alert pops up then disappears?

There’s a message that pops up, I’m not sure if it’s this one or not, but it happens when on autopilot (adaptive cruise control) and the accelerator pedal is pressed.

AP can’t brake because the pedal overrides it. Once the pedal is no longer pressed, it can brake as needed.

To clarify, turn on autopilot then press the accelerator. This will make the message popup if automatic emergency braking is disabled?

Tried all the steps when it first came up. I thought it was gone but it popped up once again then disappeared.

My googling doesn't show if the error message is supposed to be persistent which means the error is there or if it goes away then the error is resolved?

I have other non related issues so I'll have the Tesla service center check it out at my appointment.

Funny, I'm having the same issue. It only pops up when the car starts and then is gone. Issue only came up after I got 2023.26.10

Service center said all cameras were aligned and software was functioning properly. Tech mentioned it may be due to sunlight glare.



Based on the other random camera errors I get, I am inclined to think hw4 is more sensitive to sunlight.

Tesla just cancelled my appointment saying it was a known software issue.
