How much to paint Model 3?

There are a few shops near me that offer a lifetime guarantee on their work (assuming most people will sell their car in a few years).

Well for a very picky me any kind of repaint is an ‘avoid at all costs’. I’ll pick the factory color I can live with the longest. In my case it’s not even a color, it’s white.

According to a couple posts above it's in the $3k range. California seems to be significantly higher. Saving $1k by getting a black Model 3 instead of red will net to about $2k. But I won't know for sure until I try to price it locally.

Can you get wraps that are as glossy as the original paint job or do they have a mottled satin look to them?

Quality material and good installer = high gloss shine

He's talking about Plasti-dip. But I don't think it's something you would try to do to your entire car. Most people just use it to black out chrome trim.

if you pay more than $2700 you're getting hosed
material costs don't change based on ZIP code
i know of 3-4 shops in the LA area who are under 3k for a mid size vehicle/ full wrap and do great work.
the days of paying 5k for wraps are over. the material costs have come way down and you have so many options(companies making film) than you did 4-5 years ago.

I think you are missing the fact people discussing expensive repaints or wraps of brand new cars don’t live life on a budget.

Material costs don't change, but labor costs do.
