How many Model S’s will be delivered in 2012?

Just got this from my Tesla rep:

Your estimated delivery timeline is November/December. December is the latest that you will receive your Model S. Tesla has committed to producing 5,000 vehicles by the end of 2012 and we have delivered on our commitments in the past so I can say with confidence that you will receive your car by the end of the year at the latest.

That's for P1635.

Nikoli, check out Sign into My Tesla | Tesla Motors, login and see if you have a "Finalize" button showing up there. Liz G, for instance, never got her email (probably ended up in spam somewhere) but, was able to finalize on the website.

While I hope Tesla meets (or exceeds !) the 5k mark, but I won't be surprised or disheartened if they don't make it. I do think they should continue to focus on quality - we can't affored any mishaps.

How many Model S’s will be delivered in 2012?

I read that some days ago Tesla Model S # 1000 has been produced. Since only two months are missing to the end of the year I guess that the Model S delivered in 2012 will be < 2000. Of course I would have liked they were > 5000 but Tesla is starting production of a completely own car this year. Furthermore Tesla is very careful to quality. That's why produced cars are less than expected. I hope that next year Tesla Model S produced cars will be more than 20000!
