That's really fake news. The refineries shut down for the hurricane, but most are back up now and US exports are up significantly. You may have also noticed that US gas prices are coming back down as well.

Considering the average family releases 42,000 lbs of pollution (CO2) per year 1,000,000 lbs is no more than 24 average families. Not bad in the scheme of things.
