From the cockpit of my childhood dream car

1 of 30 Bugatti EB 110 Super Sport. A friend arranged for me to spend quite a bit of time inside and out of it looking things over. Was my dream car as a child from the first time I seen it on a magazine cover in 1992. Roughly $4 mil market value.

Unfortunately we could not open the engine compartment because the Super Sports have a fixed deck lid instead of a release, so we couldn't get in there without removing fasteners (which wasn't happening).

This is roughly a $50 million display. Most people go right to the Merc GTR, or the F40 track car, but that Bugatti is the only one I cared enough about to get inside.

Both are awesome for sure. The Bugatti with all of its quirks like two fuel separate fuel tanks and pumps, one for each side of the engine, is just nuts. A lot of people don't understand the lengths of hobbling this car together that they went through to get it produced. Using all of the Ferrari parts on it, and probably the worst taillights ever used on a supercar lol. I love it!

Actually it can't, this does it in 3.2 seconds. And has been doing it since 1996.

The F1 really was ahead of its time.

For what it's worth I dreamed briefly, as a kid, of having a Vector. Only ever saw one in a magazine, although I've seen one on youtube now

Yeah, I saw that same review of the Vector, brought back lots of memories of this supercar book I had as a child.

The OP's plaid can beat your friend's M3P, but he appreciates there is a reason why the plaid can be had for under $100k and this thing is worth millions.

I admit EB110 is a timeless car. I wasn't born in America and I remember when I was 15 we played card games with all super sport cars of the time.

I haven't thought about the Vector in a while. Auto Panache, an authorized Vector dealer in Fort Lauderdale, used to advertise the M12 in the duPont Registry magazine when they were being sold new.

This was the big ticket item, Lewis Hamilton's 2013 F1 car. Two people ended up in a bidding war when it hit $11 million and between the two, it went to $17.1 million.
