To each their own. It's hardly junk, and I think it's a pretty tasteful way to differentiate the car from the 3247982348 of them on the road with all the same thing.

The reason why I did that was for the sake of simplicity, and because those pads are going bye bye shortly anyways.

Yes, that's exactly why it looks amatuer, because it's easier to paint over them. Good to hear you are changing them out. Will look much better when you do.

Aside from a silly visual does it provide an notable improvement to the drive or efficiency? But it’s your car so obviously you do you. My M3 is a vehicle to get me to work and around town, it’s “uniqueness” isn’t even remotely a consideration.
