Yea I’m not happy about the backpack thing either. So if I carry a satchel I’ll be fine?
My flight lands early and I was just planning to bring a backpack with my personal belongings. Seeing as check-in to my place downtown isn’t until later the no backpack rule is going to cause me trouble.
Just got my invite as well today and I’m planning to make the trip (from PA). The factory tour is worth it to me as no other non employee will get this kind of access. Seeing the progression of the cyber truck line will also be cool!
I would say to get one sooner at this point would rely on luck if you plan on picking one up by end of June. Otherwise , your MYLR and P would both be coming around August/September if you don’t get lucky.
A good set of all seasons will run you about $1,500 ( Michelin Sport All Season - Same they put on the new MYP) . Your also lugging around the heavy 20" wheels all winter when range is already taking a hit. For me the second set was a no brainer given the cost. But I understand where you coming...
Yes. Absolutely no issues with rubbing and no spacers needed.
These fit great and looked great on my car for 18" wheels. Rode much smoother and quieter too
Picked up in Devon this morning and traded in my white M3P. Car was flawless aside from some leftover plastic protective film. All season tires which made me happy. Hope you all get yours soon.
There is some inevitable dumb luck in matching an order to a vehicle quickly. Mostly has to do with configuration and location.
That said, I’ve done this dance before. And my MYP order is shaping up to be delivered in a similar timeframe as my M3P from a year ago.
You ordered in May…. You’re car was never going to be there unfortunately.
People from February and March are just now getting theirs ( myself included).
Buckle up for a September delivery.
I agree the hit is worth it as it does add a lot of hauling capacity. We use it for beach trips to haul all the sandy kid toys and such.
Just wanted the OP to be aware of what’s they’re getting into as I had to find out the hard way.
I’ll add that without the cross bars and basket this would be a bad idea on the tempered glass.
And to add another data point. If you think range suffers on the highway now, wait until you have a roof basket / bag.
Switching to financing and getting approved literally takes less than 30min. I’d wait unit you get a VIN unless you want multiple pulls on your credit as a two week window guarantees you nothing in terms of getting a car soon.
I'm in the camp of not needing one. Look over the car, if you find something you don't like, point it out.
Have you ever taken an inspection list when buying another vehicle?
Usually about two weeks, but I have seen them come in about 10-12 days
I would assume if you don’t have a VIN by this Friday you’ll be pushed to next quarter.
Yep, got mine last night. $53,600 for a 21 M3P with 14k miles. Telsa has done the math with the tax benefit and have lowballed accordingly. It's just high enough to not bother with the hassle of private sale once you factor in the 3k in tax savings from the trade.
I did message to see if I can...
VINs aren’t sequential so I wouldn’t read much into the number. Given market demand and lead times there is likely very few rejects. Seems a bit odd to me to deny a vehicle you haven’t seen soly on the vin number…. But hey, to each their own.
What’s everyone seeing for trade in values through Tesla and processing time for estimates?
Just received my vin and have submitted my 2021 M3P for trade and am awaiting a response.
