Fan on, heat and ac off?

I’ve been advised to leave the fan running without heat or a/c for 10-15 minutes to avoid the smelly sock odor. But the fan seems directly connected to heat/ac, how can I turn on fan w/o heat or ac?

That sounds like old advice. I think it was an old problem that Tesla fixed by automatically running the fan for a while when it needs to dry out the HVAC system.

But if you really want to run the fan only:
- take HVAC out of "Auto"
- turn off AC
- set the desired temperature to something lower than the ambient temperature
- set the fan speed to whatever you wish.
