What happens if the EVSE cannot provide the amount of power it is expecting? Then it comes up short when you need to leave.
Primary example is shared WC connector. It will give different amount of current if only one car is plugged in, or two cars are plugged in and only one is charging, or even less if both are charging.
Sure, it would work in most cases. Except when it doesn't.
