Continuous clicking noise under dash, please help.

I think it's the HVAC fan. Does it go away with HVAC off? And is the ticking a constant pace?

The clicking noise does not go away with the HVAC fan off ... still searching for the answer

If memory serves, was this clicking somehow related to the brake system?

I heard a constant clicking noise behind my dash yesterday, it sounded as if the HVAC couldn't decide if it wanted inside or outside air and something kept turning back there. I rebooted and that resolved the situation temporarily, then it started again. This happened while I was sitting in my parked car running the AC. Then the clicking started again and I pretty much forgot about it on the way home. When I got home I noticed the clicking had stopped. Was recently updated to 8.1.
