'Continuous' Autopilot using S3XY buttons commander

I cannot be sure because I don’t have EAP. But this should work for you also if you follow the steps.

There are other Dutch threads where people have the S3XY buttons and commander. I did DM / PB them in the past to ask some questions. Maybe they might know more.

My S3XY Buttons arrived today and Continious Autopilot is great. This feature alone makes the purchase totally worth it. I like it better than the original Auto Steer I have on my MS.

Mijn persoonlijke favoriet (van de commander) blijft dat ik mijn frunk kan openen door de linker deurklink open te houden. Na jaren Tesla rijden gebruik ik nu eindelijk deze mooie ruimte veel meer.

Maar deze optie voor continuous AP moet ik ook maar eens gaan aanzetten als ik het zo lees.

Persoonlijk zou ik eerder kiezen oor EAP met auto lane change dan voor S3XY buttons want ik vind de autolane change prettiger dan zelf van baan wisselen. Even bevestigen en je hoeft niets meer te doen…..

Jazeker. Hetzelfde dubbele-ping geluid als hij maakt als je zelf Autopilot + Autosteer aanzet.

Persoonlijk zou ik eerder kiezen oor EAP met auto lane change dan voor S3XY buttons want ik vind de autolane change prettiger dan zelf van baan wisselen. Even bevestigen en je hoeft niets meer te doen…..

Met de S3XY buttons moet je dan wel zelf sturen (dat doe ik toch sneller en beter dan Autosteer) maar het "bevestigen" is hetzelfde: richtingaanwijzer aan en aan het stuur draaien. Het werkt echt verbazend soepel en is veel goedkoper dan EAP.

Vandaag 200km gereden met deze optie om te testen. Het werkt soepel en scheelt inderdaad elke keer extra handelingen. Bij mij blijft deze optie dus aan.

PSA - Continuous AP does not yet work on 2021+ Refresh Model S. The vendor has acknowledged the issue and says they are working on a fix. However it’s been 2 months with multiple firmware updates, and no love so far.

Went to Garmish for the school holidays. Used Continuous AutoPilot a lot. Very happy with the system.

At one time the commander stopped working. Opened the app, went to the commander section, and stopped it and ten started it again. It connected again.

Nice!! This is a great feature, not quite FSD lane change, but similar to other auto manufacturers that re-engage lane keep after a manual change. I’m curious why not use 1 second delay instead of 3? Have you experimented?

Over the period of time, I got more used to this and am now on a 2 second delay.

Sometimes I end up engaging the 3 flash mode where the indicators turn off rather soon. In that case the activation of AP can be a little jerky, because I am not yet in the middle of the lane. So I have kept it at 2 seconds.
