Console on when parked

since the 26.8 update, i'm finding that my center console is often on when parked in the garage. sentry is off, the car charged to 80%, and yet when i walk into the garage, if the console isn't already on, it turns on when i'm there. I've no idea why this is happening, but it's concerning.

Maybe a bad seat sensor?

I'm not sure about that. since the heated seat is turned off. I find the only solution at the moment is to Power Off the car from the console. This isn't a good long term fix though.

Submit a service request. They might be able to see the reason remotely.

A service request is on my radar, but i wanted some time to debug this.

Last week, the 26.9 bug update came out and while i was hoping it would fix the problem, it didn't. The screen on problem didn't appear when i powered off the car from the center console, but that's not a realistic solution.

so, either the car doesn't want to sleep when parked, or perhaps the tesla app on my phone is reaching out and waking up the car.
SOO, i tried quitting the app and seeing what would happen. so far, this solution has worked.

Are your side mirrors folded. I had a seat sensor go bad and the car would not sense that I was no longer sitting in the seat. The car would not lock when getting out and would remain 'on'.
