Anyone have experience with either of these sets of brake pads on their Model S? I am looking to upgrade, just the pads, but not sure of which one to get.
The majority of my driving this Plaid is done on the street. However, there are a few trips to the local 1/4 mile dragstrip. When you reach the end of the quarter mile and go into the runoff/shutdown area, it takes some serious braking for a near 5000 pound car going 150 mph. to get things slowed down. I also rely on the regenerative braking while driving on the street, and rarely touch the brake pedal. I sometimes go 2 weeks or more without using the brakes, but then again I don't live in New York city.
I like the specs of the AX-6 pads, but understand that they can be squeaky and dusty, if used. That's my problem in deciding since I don't use the brakes very much. Any comments or experiences would be appreciated.
