What I have seen is the phone not unlock the car, and then once I take it out of my pocket and wake the phone up, then the car will unlock without doing anything else. It's as if the background Bluetooth task that is supposed to unlock the car is asleep, but taking the phone out of my pocket (which on the Samsung Galaxy S8/S8+ will wake up the display) also wakes up the Bluetooth background task, allowing the car to unlock.
I wonder if this is some sort of power saving feature? Maybe a setting somewhere is causing this? I did a quick Google and it appears that Samsung phones have some sort of "battery saving" mode where it can disable things like background Bluetooth to preserve your battery. maybe this is enabled by default and is what is causing this issue? (I don't have a Samsung phone available to look at right now)
