Yup.

And I'm 97.32% positive I heard Elon actually say something to this effect back during the supercharger unveiling days a few years back, but I've looked and I'll be darned if I can find it again.

Yeah... I've re-watched that one before... and while he does refer to putting power back in the grid from solar arrays, he doesn't mention doing so from sites remote from the supercharger canopies themselves.

I remember something from that era where he specifically addressed that, but just can't find it.
