For anyone interested, there is now a new open source project that allows using Tesla model 3 and Y (as well as S and X and other car batteries) with 400V inverters, for solar storage application. For more details, see:

Really basic question. I thought that most of these controllers are built for 48 volt battery system. How do you make this work with a 400 volt EV battery like the Tesla 3 or Tesla Y battery?

This controller is designed to emulate 400V BYD batteries, and works with high voltage inverters that support them.
