What is the best adjustment setting for my shocks?
There is no single best adjustment setting for your KONIs because every driver has different preferences for comfort, performance, performance modifications and roads to drive on. For most vehicles, we suggest that new KONIs be installed in the full soft position. (the standard setting right out of the box) to take advantage of the balance of ride comfort and handling designed by the KONI ride development engineers. If the car has performance upgrades (springs, wheel/tire packages, etc.) or the driver wants the car a bit more aggressive, most people find the optimum setting in the 1/2 to one full turn from the full soft range. Over the extended life of the damper or if the driver wants a specific firm handling characteristic, the dampers can be adjusted up higher. Very rarely will KONI ever need to be adjusted to the full firm setting.

What are the best springs to match my KONIs?
One of the great advantages of KONI adjustable shocks is that there is no specific spring for matching optimum performance. Instead you can adjust your KONIs to match your springs. Most performance springs have a higher spring rate than the vehicle's original springs. Since the shock controls the motion of the spring, increased spring rates require more rebound damping for control and that is one of the reasons why KONIs are rebound adjustable (and some are double adjustable). Using higher rate springs with OE or soft shocks will very quickly overcome and wear out the shocks. The KONI adjustment range is typically about 100% (twice as firm at the full firm settings at the full soft setting) to allow for proper damping of OE springs and high rate performance springs.

Koni struts are fully compatible with OEM Springs, or Aftermarket Lowering Springs from Dinan, Eibach and H&R.

Your web page shows parts for another make/model. Do you have photos showing the actual Tesla M3/Y parts?

Tesla mounted the shocks inside the wheel wells making them more subject to wheel splatter than typical. Do these shocks provide shock bellows or do they provide bottom perches so the installer can reuse the factory shock bellows, provided they are still in serviceable condition? Tesla parts catalog only provides part numbers for complete shock assemblies. If the bellows are not serviceable and not included, could be expensive to install these Koni adjustable aftermarket shocks.

What about the bump stops? Does the installer have to reuse the factory bump stops which may not be available new from Tesla. Tesla parts catalog provides part number for rear bump stop, but not for front bump stop. Is the shock barrel length and shaft travel the same as the Tesla shock so that the bump stop will make contact at the same body to ground height as with factory installed shocks?

Koni doesn't have photos for some reason (Reds or Yellows), so a stock photo was used in the meantime. We're already taking photos our of own today. It'll look almost exactly like the Koni Reds below, other than the adjustment knob:

Bumps stops are not provided, simply transfer your existing stops to the Konis.
 
Looks great, have you had the opportunity to test drive a Koni + Eibach package yet?
We've already installed a few sets of the Koni Special Active (Red).

The Sport (Yellow) are fairly new for Tesla and just hit the market. However, we're very familiar with them on BMW platforms as they are one of the more popular upgrades for suspension.

Yes. Was more referring to ride/handling on the yellows compared to the MPP comfort setup, if they’ve been tested yet.
They've definitively been tested by the manufacturers. If looking for reviews, both have only been on the market for only a short amount of time - we'll have more user reviews as systems are installed in the upcoming weeks.

Koni Sport has been on the market for years and they are a favorite on numerous BMW platforms, which we're most familiar with on the Koni brand.

We've installed the MPP Comfort Coilovers already (we're one of MPP's preferred partners) and they work great right out of the box. For a budget-friendly "set it and forget it" kit - these are the ticket.
