Are Model Y Performance 21 inch Wheels bad for Toronto / Markham potholes?

I see a lot of Performance models driving around Markham area, anyone with experience are pot holes deadly to the wheels?

Anyone have heard stories of the rims going kaput after one or two potholes?

I'm about to pull the trigger on a MYP, but I'm hesitant on the wheels, and hearing lots of stories from the states (albiet M3, not MY).

I see MYP everywhere at first markham place, I'm hoping that potholes on the road isn't a massive problem.

Anyone have any stories or any data?

32k on our '22 MYP, no issues with pothole specifically, but I avoid them as best I can

Been driving 2 years with MYP wheels, and 10 years before with MS 21" wheels. no problems at all. The worst pot hole season of winter i am on 18" snows anyways.

Got it, buy winter tires and keep them on until March is what I'm hearing
