Alpine (Alps Alpine North America) said it will be first out of the gate with a full audio system this spring for Tesla vehicles.
The full system includes a DSP/amplifier, subwoofer, speakers and wiring harness. It requires no custom vehicle modifications during installation. It comes in six versions for select Tesla Model 3 and Y vehicles.

At 1,200 watts RMS (50W x 4, 100W x 6, 400W x 1) the system is optimized for EV low voltage battery range (12V-16V).
Speakers are from Alpine’s “Blue Series” premium line using “ultra-lightweight” carbon fiber material with a neodymium magnet and Alpine propriety HAMR surround.
The subwoofer is a sealed 10-inch stealth model for the trunk. The system also uses a 12-channel Digital Sound Processor (DSP) that is pre-tuned for a Tesla.
Alpine said the amplifier uses less than one mile of range per hour, even when played at full volume, for maintaining the EV’s battery life.
System models will include an 11-speaker upgrade package for the factory base audio systems in the 2018-2021 Model 3 (PSS-TSLA-213) and 2022-up Model 3 (PSS-TSLA-223).
A 13-speaker upgrade package (two additional speakers for the rear deck) is for Model 3’s with the factory premium audio system –for the 2018-2021 Model 3 (PSS-TSLA-213P) and 2022-up Model 3 (PSS-TSLA-223P).
There are two 13-speaker upgrade packages for the Model Y–2020-2021 Model Y (PSS-TSLA-21Y) and 2022-2023 Model Y (PSS-TSLA-22Y).
The audio systems will be available this spring at $2,999.95.
