Alarm being triggered by weather?

I've had the alarm trigger twice in two days for no apperent reason - could this be related to the good weather we've been having lately?

I'd spray some insect killer in the car. The good weather brings out many more flying insects.

The interior detection is super sensitive so even the smallest insect can set it off.

No, not that I can see. Car is booked in next Weds, so hopefully they'll accept it as a warrany claim, else its a £1200 smack in the chops

Your insurance glass cover should cover this. Others have been successful with roof glass replacements minus the £70-£100 typical excess.

not with mine unfortunately, vehicle excess for panoramic or sunroofs (my excess is quite high )

Damn, hope it goes through under warranty then. If there is no visible damage that caused it then it is likely a manufacturing defect in the glass or installation error that caused it to crack, so it should be covered.

Just an update for those interested, my crack failed the ballpoint test with Tesla - they use a ballpoint pen and it the tip falls into the any part of the crack, then its deemed to be a non-stress crack.

So replacement will be through the glass replacement part of my insurance.

On a side note I asked if (this being Tesla Reading) had any interest in the LHD S and Xs, they said not much
