Aero Wheels

You can get some fun wraps for aero wheels. My wheels are now black and white.

They came from the states. The white wraps were from Amazon.com, and the black wraps from ebay. There are tons of utube videos showing how to apply them. Pretty straightforward.

I'm planning to buy a P, mainly because I didn't like the look of thew aeros online. However I did see the aeros for the first time at the Cambridge showroom the other day, and actually thought they looked much better in real life... now thinking do I stick with a P or go back to the LR AWD with aeros? decisions decisions!

P-? All the go, none of the show. They show up as avaliable off the book now and then. Just call and ask nicely.

I even got one with tow which really surprised me.

I had this exact same dilemma. Bought the kit, then when I saw the car, loved the Aero wheels.

I'm totally torn now, as I think the Aero wheels add a futuristic look, but the alloys add a sporty look, I like both:

How about leaving it as shown in the top pic? Ie, 2 wheels with Aeros and 2 without for a funky and unique look

They do look good without. Shame the rubber looks so stretched on the 18s. Just looks like it needs to be a bit wider, or is that just me? It's like the sidewalls don't meet the ground at 90°?

how about a compromise.
Aeros in the winter, Aeroless for the summer

In the winter they will:
a) they will keep the salt and crap away from the wheels
b) you really need the extra range
c) the car will be permanently dirty anyway

Then take them off for that cool summer look

I'll be keeping the aero covers fitted on my car, for me the spokes look to thin on the wheels.

There’s a psychology to this too. When you don’t know what they are there’s a mystique about them. Once you’ve watched a YouTube video of them being pulled off, you can’t look at them without thinking of some Renault 19 you had in about 1987, one of who’s placcie plates overtook you and rolled over a roundabout on your way back to the halls of residence.

My favourite plastic wheel covers were always the ones attached with cable ties ... a photo of a Tesla with Aeros similarly adorned would be quite amusing!

How about both at same time. Aero's on one side, non aero's on the other. Depending on which direction you are driving, someone may think you have two different cars - look, there another white Tesla.
