22s instead of 20s = Mistake?

I'm about to buy a set of forged 22s for my 100D, found a great deal on eBay, I commute 75 miles a day, 80% on highway, and highways here in CA are not really great, I keep hearing people get tire blown or wheels damaged because of the tire size (265/35 - 285/35), I'm already getting 360-450 wh per mile on my current stock 20s. So am I going to regret this? Forged 22 inch wheels are about 24-26 lb, so saving weight compared to OEM 20s. Any input here?

You’ll get reduced range for sure and most definitely plenty of flat tires if the roads are in bad shape in your area. You’ll also get reduced acceleration performance and worse wet traction. However you will get better dry traction. The ride quality will also be much bumpier.. is it worth the extra looks? IMO no way
