2021/2022 Model S - Dash screen spotty?

Took delivery of my Model S a few weeks ago and I noticed that there’s “spottiness” towards the left side of the display. This affects roads, the volume indicator, everything. Is this normal for other owners?

Looks like a defect on the touch screen, or on the back of any covering or protector over the screen. Looks like a dirty or damaged screen protector, but I don't think these come with a screen protector.

My 2020 does not have this. I just went out and checked. Must be something to do with the horizontal screen needing some matting. Mine is smooth to the edge, which is a solid black behind the plastic frame. No feathering to the edge.

Yeah, it's a completely new and different screen on the refresh, everything sits on an all black background.
