Glad to see all the love for amber turn signals, but I still recommend tapping the side repeater signals for immediate response to the rear tail turn signals. It's for sure a lot more work than the plug-and-play adaptor, but it'll make all the difference for when you need to let others behind...

Do they lag behind by a blink compared to the front signal and side repeaters? Starts blinking one cycle late when starting to signal, and keeps on blinking one extra cycle when stopping the signal?

When brakes are applied, your circuit inherently has to miss the first blink to figure out it actually wants to start signaling. Unless you tap the side repeaters, you simply don't have sufficient information until BRAKE stays high AND TURN goes low; then you know signaling is happening...

@MODEL+ Hi Danny, If you have them on hand, can you help check and see which MW03 color is closest to the shade of the factory Tesla center caps? All the websites say they're compatible with the factory Tesla center caps, but don't advise on which color actually matches. Thanks!

Hm yeah. If they're in Made in China Model 3, then very likely will appear on US models soon. Seems like China gets all the new features first.😅

I haven't seen any actually. All the new ones with black trim still have the original tail lights. Will have to see if the newest variants with the new door trim also changes out the tail lights to the global style?

The assumption here is that the price won't go up if/when the tax credit actually passes. :p

Now if only someone had the US/EU/Suma mirrors to do a side-by-side-by-side comparison that would be great! :p

Hey, at least that shop is knowledgeable about Teslas and didn't just put your car on the lift anyway and risk damaging/scratching it. (Google around for many examples of bad incidents.) I'd actually be happy to know that I found a shop that knows about the pucks and knows how to use them.

According to epc.tesla.com, Model 3 and Model Y use the same tail light part numbers, so they're exactly the same. With that rumored change coming, not sure if it'll be implemented across 3 and Y, or if it is fake news :P

What's wrong with the PT548? Looks like they'll mate looking at pictures. The gap between the last two pins away from the L are closer together, just like the hub. That can't be coincidence. :)

Hi all, Thanks for the responses. I was able to buy the tail lights myself from an overseas service center during a vacation. I'm all good now. Just have to figure out how to rewire them so orange AND red lights don't come on together when braking.

If you are getting Tesla original Export mirrors, then yes the expectation is that you connect the auto dimming connector too.
