Alloy Gators Rim Protection (Pics and info)

I've had Alloy Gators on my S since taking delivery in January 2013, and they have always worked extremely well for me. The website I've ordered from several times, AlloyGator - Protect Your Wheels From Kerb Damage, now redirects to AlloyGator - Protect Your Wheels From Kerb Damage, and when it...

    Supercharger - Greenville, SC

Finally! I got this response today from Tesla after I wrote them asking about when we would finally have a supercharger between Charlotte and Atlanta: Thank you for your email. We are excited to share that we have chosen a new location in the Greenville area and we are approaching the...

What's best (fastest) place to charge Tesla near Greenville?

Brain cramp, I meant Decatur (corrected above)

What's best (fastest) place to charge Tesla near Greenville?

FWIW, I can make it from Charlotte to the Decatur supercharger in an 85 without stopping as long as I'm careful (not too speedy). Having a SC in Greenville would make it a carefree trip without having to worry about temperature and speed, can't come too soon!

Other NC Model S owners, Question

I've had a Model S in Charlotte for 2 years, and unless you know you'll need the quick charging from an HPWC at home I would advise against the extra expense of the dual chargers and the HPWC setup. The NEMA 14-50 in my garage charges at 29 miles per hour and I've never needed faster charging...

Any Pictures of the standard 19inch Rims with the Red Calipers?

Looks great, but you need to get yourself some AlloyGators. $150/set, install them yourself, easily the best money I've spent on my car.

Might be me Leilani, I have a pearl white MS and work in the Southpark area. Haven't noticed any stalkers (only gawkers so far ), but I'll keep my eyes open.

Autobahn Tune - Higher Top Speed!

I have Mobileye installed in my Model S as an aftermarket accessory in the U.S. and it works flawlessly - highly recommended.

    iPhone / smartphone Mounts

I'll second the recommendation for the Steelie. Very high quality, don't even notice the base on the dash (see pictures), holds the phone securely, and the disc on the back of the phone/case is not a problem.

    Roof Rails

Here are some pictures of the Yakima setup. It only takes 5 - 10 minutes to install or remove the whole thing, so I only have it on while transporting my bike rather than keeping it on permanently.

    Roof Rails

I have the Yakima roof rack system - works perfectly and easy on/off. Go on their website and use the fit guide, the Model S is in their system (Landing Pad 11).

    Hydrophobic glass treatment

I applied Aquapel to all glass surfaces on my Model S a couple of months ago, and my wipers have been "catching" on the windshield ever since. Incredibly annoying. Are there any new wipers that are recommended to work with Aquapel to avoid this problem? I'll try anything!

Do prepaid unlimited ranger visits apply to warranty issues?

I live several hours from the nearest service center. If I'm not on the unlimited Ranger visit plan, do the annual maintenance Ranger visits cost $100 each? If so, then over four years I only need one additional Ranger visit to break even on the $500 increase for unlimited vs. $100/ea Ranger...

Various sensors, lighting, horntones & other addons for my S (Dadaleus' custom build)

I just had the Mobileye 560 installed in my Model S yesterday, the company has now worked out the integration issues with the Tesla CANBUS and all functions work perfectly. Highly recommended!

Will the Model S/X have a spare tire & if not, how is that ok?

Sealant can fix a puncture but ruins the tire, and it's useless for sidewall tears or blowouts.

Will the Model S/X have a spare tire & if not, how is that ok?

That would be the first I've heard of run-flats. If we're depending on the Tesla Rangers for roadside assistance, then those of us far away from a store or service center would be out of luck. My understanding is that the fallback is the sealant/repair kit, which is not terribly comforting.

Availability of Sunset Red and Regular Suspension?

So now that the new Design Studio is up, we know that 1) all 2012 deliveries will have Active Air Suspension, and 2) Sunset Red will be an option for General Production cars in 2013. Does anyone have insights into when in 2013 these options will be available? I'm not interested in active air...
