Wall Connector network connections to AWS servers

One thing I've found with the UXG-Lite is that the uex_custom.conf file is overwritten by the 99_uxglite_custom.conf file. So, really, that's the file you want to edit instead. That said, even with the changes set to conntrack, I'm afraid I'm not seeing an improvement. Anyone who is, please let...

Wall Connector network connections to AWS servers

Smart queues does seem to have solved the issue with respect to the TWC being offline. I had earlier been experimenting with the MSS value and either the AWS server or the TWC did not appreciate shorter values. WIth them set back to 1460, the Smart Queues setting has kept the TWC online for over...

Wall Connector network connections to AWS servers

Sheesh. Even Smart Queues hasn't solved the problem, but now I no longer see the "Offline" display but "Check Internet Connection" instead. This has only happened since I enabled Smart Queues. And, once again, I can verify that not only is the Wall Connector Online and connected (well) to my...

Wall Connector network connections to AWS servers

The timeout change did not solve the issue. It kept it online for longer than the 5-10 minutes but had disconnected overnight. I CAN verify that enabling Smart Queues HAS solved the issue, but it's knocking down my internet speeds significantly.

Sadly, this morning, my app is once again showing offline. What about you, @dirty_park?

Wall Connector network connections to AWS servers

Oh, @brkaus, I've been all through the UI forums looking for this, but... NAT IS SERIOUSLY BROKEN on the UXG-Lite. Turns out Conntrack is at fault and the UXG-Lite sets the parameter: net.netfilter.nf_conntrack_tcp_timeout_unacknowledged = 30 It's a typo. The USG has the value of 300. If...

Wall Connector network connections to AWS servers

This is my last reply for the day. Anyone with an open ticket with Ubiquiti on this may want to see this dump. This time, I used each of the three IPs that are found in the CNAME to make sure I could capture it all. 16:03:21.720392 IP 70.16.74.83.65059 > 54.148.15.24.443: Flags [Start], seq...

Wall Connector network connections to AWS servers

OK, so I did a dump on the WAN interface to see if we might find more useful information and this time I captured the C/C server retrying to send its packets as I had guessed (but couldn't see) above. This is the ROOT of our problem. Since the capture is small, I am including it here within the...

Wall Connector network connections to AWS servers

Since your issue isn't related to "Supercharging and Charging infrastructure" per se, you might want to try another sub-forum. But since you're here, what version is your firmware on the U6Pro? As for me, I used to have an Open Mesh AP40 for my "garage area" but recently (when I started seeing...

Wall Connector network connections to AWS servers

Misery loves company, right? I too had noticed that bouncing the TWC off the wifi would result in it "appearing online" for a short period of time. And, once it's off, one thing of interest is to hit the TWC with an API call such as: http://twc-ip-address/api/1/wifi_status and you'll most...

Wall Connector network connections to AWS servers

Yep. That's exactly what I did and provided the info to Tesla. I think it ended up being info that was WAY over their pay-grade.

Wall Connector network connections to AWS servers

No surprise you're seeing the issue as well. As for the next entry, the thought of logging DNS would help me find the FQDN being requested so I could do more analysis on that connection. I would never want to blindly open ALL connections to AWS as AWS is sometimes used by bad actors for...

Wall Connector network connections to AWS servers

Well, I want to be polite, but the TWC IS connected to MY network just fine. The UXG-Lite is only a gateway. I don't believe in "wireless routers". I have an extensive Unifi network of access points and other equipment. Each device performs a single function. As for the TWC, I can run all the...

Wall Connector network connections to AWS servers

Funny you ask that because initially, I was taking most of the "auto" defaults on the gateway and hadn't thought about it until I started trying to troubleshoot the issue for Tesla support. At that point, I *tried* to remove ALL outbound filtering (except multi-casting) so that's why I was...

Wall Connector network connections to AWS servers

My Wall connector started showing "Offline" when I changed my firewall from IPFire to a Unifi gateway (UXG-Lite). I went back and forth with the Wall Connector support group and eventually they decided to send me a replacement charger even though I was 99.44% certain it was simply a "network"...

    Remove wall connector from app?

I had the wall connector support team remove my original one, but for some reason, when I added the new one, it went into a New "home" and now I cannot remove my "empty" home. Anyone had any experience with Tesla removing an empty "home" from the app?

Shut down with supercharger in sight

It's not normal. But a lot depends on your conditions like driving and temp at the time it shutdown. When mine was less than 4 months old, I was in 15 degree temps and pulled into a SC with 8 miles left.

What, no real-time satellite view? [Ironic Humor]

I started to think the same. Surprisingly, there is no "remote activation" (from the app) to tell the car to save the dashcam video as you can from within the can. Something for the V11 list, I suppose...:-)

What, no real-time satellite view? [Ironic Humor]

Our son dropped in to visit us for a couple of weeks and borrowed my wife's car this morning, so when my wife decided to attend a morning yoga class, she needed to take my M3. She has hundreds of miles of driving experience on the highway in the car, but only recently has she done any local...

Of course, if you CAN make it, it's all about the destination charging. If you want make it, Chill out and find the fun places to stop along the way. I like your "Both" answer. This must be the silliest reason to sell a Tesla

This post has bought significant tears to my eyes, and my gut is aching from laughing so hard. Thanks EVSA for that. You made my day. And, my sincere apologies for having a wife so gullible. I know I couldn't afford one like her! Nice try. keep the S for yourself and by her something her...

    Supercharger - Portland, ME

Ah, welcome to the land of the Parking Nazis. Kudos to Tesla for avoiding that garage. For those outside of the NE area, there is a very sharp, very entrepreneurial company called Unified Parking that SWEPT over Portland ME by converting unused corporate parking (mostly after hours) and offering...

    TACC

I ran into this today. I was looking forward to a fun turn on my commute that I used to take a 40mph in my 2007 hybrid Camry. Damn! the M3 started slowing, like it was a some Ford with 12" wheels. Really? now I know I need to kick off TACC before the turn, turn it back on afterwards. Sigh.

Car won't go into Drive or Reverse?

It's happening to me as well. I thought it was because I had changed something on my phone, but now that I think of it, it started happening around the time when I took on the 42.2 update.
  31. A

    Front USB not working

OMG, I'm SOO glad it's happening to others. I think it happened during 42.2. Power seems to cut in and out , so my phone just freaks out charging, no-charge, charging, no-charge, etc.

    Model 3 Software Update 2018.42.x

Right, so you and the others who are suggesting this, have NOA available. If you don't see it yet in the AutoPilot section, there is no place to view what % the calibration is.

    Model 3 Software Update 2018.42.x

So, maybe this is why I couldn't see anything in the users manual after the update. I see the forward/backward buttons, but nothing in the section. And pressing on the two arrows does nothing.
