I understand that the IC is replaced as well, since it is slaved to the MCU2. You can confirm by rebooting (steering wheel scroll wheels) - it will reboot both screens now, not just the MCU. Thanks for the report - glad it went well.

Did the reset solve it? This has happened to my 2017 MS75D every few months for the past couple of years. It is a known issue per the SC.

This happened to my 2017 MS75D. The SC fixed it under warranty by “replacing and recalibrating” the Door Handle controller. It took about an hour. Here’s the part number from my service order: ASSEMBLY, DOOR HANDLE 3.0 CTLR (1069651-00-D)

“Replace and recalibrate” is a quote from the service order. This was all done by the Service Center under warranty so I don’t know exactly what they did.

This was my situation although the dashcam was just rebooting every minute. I had come to associate the startup sound of the dashcam with the car since the dashcam went on to declare events recorded etc. If the Teslacam had been there when I bought the car, this would not have happened!

Mystery solved! Thank you for your comment — the sound is coming from my dashcam. I sat in the car with the Tesla tech and we both heard the sound coming from behind the dash.

It’s not the seatbelt chime. It’s a 5 note sequence.

Don't trust the My Tesla web page status - check with your DS. They can confirm exactly where the car is once it starts production.
