Tesla Ranks Last in Dealership Mystery Shopping Survey

It's also funny that Porsche is so low when I find their showroom experience to be good precisely because they don't have a salesman hover over you. I think this survey is more useful for people who don't know what they want in a car so they have to be guided through the experience. If you know...

Anybody go from an S-Class to Model X?

I also think comparing a sports/luxury sedan to the MX is not the way to go about it. MX is an SUV at the end of the day and drives much different than a sedan.

Model 3 in 2018 or wait until early 2019 for Model Y?

My lease on the X is for another 2.5 years. If the Y is available by then I'll definitely be interested.

Do you Wave or Wave Back at other Tesla drivers on the road?

I always try to acknowledge a fellow Tesla driver but so many people around where I live are either too cool or too distracted/blasé to notice.

Does anyone get the dash cam for your model X ?

This stuff makes me so mad. So many silly laws to render any citizen a criminal at any time. Certain counties will also confiscate property.

Tesla and their free unlimited supercharging teases.

I haven't really taken any long drives with my X but in day to day use I much prefer charging at home and have yet to use a supercharger. Do most people use a supercharger weekly or even more often if they are staying within a charge distance from home?

    Resistance to Hydroplaning

I've also had a good experience in the rain without hydroplaning. At one spot there was a stream that overflowed the span of road and I raised the car and drove through the moving water without a problem.

We Aren’t Saving the Earth Like People Think When Buying an EV.

I heard on Science Friday that the dirtiest day in the life of an EV is the day it was born. It's much better for the environment every day thereafter as compared with an ICE. Environment is obviously complex and there is not going to be a single solution. Worldwide, poverty causing pollution is...

Tesla X - dangerous Cruise control, Autopilot and Self driving..

I have AP2 and find it very useful. There are a few things I've noticed. Normally, when passing a car in the center lane, I would cheat a little away from the car in the center creating a larger zone of separation. Tesla doesn't do this making things close and relying more on the other driver...

    Is Tesla replacing ghosting windshields?

I took delivery in 12/2016 and notice the same issue. I believe it is a prismatic effect that is most noticeable with direct light (LED from car headlamps) but I notice distortions during daytime as well.

Bluetooth in garaged X keeps taking control of my iPhone

This may have been mentioned but there's a preference for "always be connected" which I have turned off and don't have similar problems. My Fob and iPhone are close to the car often and the iPhone doesn't get connected to my MX. It takes a few seconds to "wake the car" when I access it from the...

Any Regrets on Buying the 5 Seater

No regrets here. I leased mine so I'm not concerned about resale value as it relates to the configuration. View from the rear view mirror is always going to be a problem in this car but the camera mitigates that. Ultimately it's how your family will utilize the car and I would have no use for...

Double vision (ghosting) at night through windshield?

I received my Model X in late December 2016 and have the ghosting issue as well. I can only describe it as an imperfection in the glass (astigmatism) that is causing refraction of light. Depending on the angle the light comes in causes various distortions of the image. Reading back in these...

    Model X P90D with Autopilot 2 hardware

I took delivery of a 5 seat configured Model X a few days ago and have been very happy with the fit and finish and everything else about it. However, I was told that the Autopilot 2 hardware, since it's new, would take some time to activate through a software update. Interested to hear about...

Double vision (ghosting) at night through windshield?

Yes you are right. I goofed. Typed quicker than I was thinking. But blue is refracted more and causes more aberrations. That's the rationale behind "blue blocker" glasses.
  39. retinaguy

Double vision (ghosting) at night through windshield?

Blue has the longer wavelength compared with red and blue causes more aberrations due to being refracted more by surfaces that refract light.

How do I find a inexpensive electrician?

As far as permits, a lot of people have mentioned that if there is an electric fire in your house and you did not have a permitted, inspected and approved modification, you could be looking at loss of coverage. So, for a $200 savings you could be exposing yourself to huge losses.

5-seat option will delay your Model X until mid-year

In a recent communication from Tesla they said my 5 seater was still "Mid 2016" delivery. If I pay to upgrade to a 6 or 7 seat configuration, delivery would be faster. I actually don't mind waiting if it means a solidly built car with the production issues resolved. Financially for me I lease my...

So sad. . .the X is going back to service center :(

NHTSA hasn't tested the MX yet. In a video on Andrea Jones' youtube page the Tesla rep says in internal tests they were not able to roll over the MX. Tesla expects the MX to be rated highly like the MS is.

I just received the same e mail and had similar concerns being in the north east. I hate the idea of swapping out tires, storing tires. I'd rather go will all season tires. Looking on with you Beene41.

What car do you currently drive while waiting for the Model X?

A 2013 Cayenne Diesel which we will keep. Can't top 650-750 miles to the tank.

Does any else regret buying a Model X?

Wow that's awful. Any top tier dealership (Porsche, Ferrari, etc.) would have a flat bed to get your car to the dealership and back after repair. They should have rented a car for you.
