What battery cells are in the 2023 M3 LR?

I'd guess the difference in range is due to the weight difference.

How to prevent the sunlights effectively?

What is needed is Infrared rejection to keep car cooler. Consider an aftermarket tint film that has high IR rejection.

    PG&E E-9 cancelled

I'm about to have solar installed and told the installer I wanted to be on EVA. She strongly suggested though that I go with E-6 since the peak hours of E-6 (1-7pm) match better to peak solar generation times than EV-A (2-9 M-F & 3-7 Sat-Sun.)

    Must have accessories?

Consumer Reports looked at these and said the Fix-A-Flat version was identical to the Slime and it's $10 less on Amazon: Amazon.com: Fix-A-Flat S50073 Ultimate 1-Step Tire Repair Kit: Automotive

    Driver engagement while in Autopilot?

Before I got my Tesla I was a somewhat aggressive driver. My first day using TACC though, I was quite happy to let it take over the speed control and, as a result, my driving was much less aggressive. I'm guessing lane keeping and automatic lane changes will only enhance the trend. If that's...

    90D range information?

Should be the same as, from what I read, the only difference between the batteries is the use of silicon in the anode of the 90. BTW, I picked up my 90D yesterday and, after ~60 miles my 90% rated range is 258. Theoretically that should put the max at ~287. I pushed the limit to 100% so we'll...

    Model S: Clever Vanity Plates

Waiting for delivery of "CARMA" Doesn't speak directly to EV but I think driving an EV is good Karma.

    Delivery Checklist

I'm picking up my S90D on Saturday and I wanted to put together a list of things I want to check prior to signing. I looked at the list that Nick Howe provided at Tesla Model S Buyers', Delivery and Owners' Guide but wanted something that was updated for the current model S and was organized in...

Four reasons owning a Model S has been bad for me...

Smart Man! I guess my only fear about letting my wife drive it is then she'll want to take it to work when I'm working at home (which is 90% of the time.)

Long time lurker, Just placed an order for a 90D!

Blue is the best today. I'm picking mine up Saturday. Almost the same except Grey Seats, Matte Obeche (won't show scratches), and sans Cold Weather (don't need in Cali) and Premium Audio.

Minimum time from start of production to California SC delivery?

Just scheduled my delivery for 9/12 at the factory but they offered me a 9/9 appointment. Production started 8/27 so 11 days from start of production to earliest delivery. (Only 29 days from ordering.)

Minimum time from start of production to California SC delivery?

Production on mine took 5 days so I'm right on the most frequent # of days. If the data holds true, I'll be taking delivery next week.

What Swag did Tesla give you at delivery?

On ordering I got 2 jackets and 2 hats. I'll have to think about what I want to ask for when I pick it up at the factory next week.

Minimum time from start of production to California SC delivery?

I did an analysis of the vehicles tracked on the "Model S Delivery Update" thread spreadsheet and determined that the majority of cars delivered in California were delivered within 2 weeks of production start.

Is this normal when you order your MS?

Ordered on 8/11, confirmed on 8/18, went into production on 8/27. My DS contacted me on 8/13, 2 days after ordering. I guess the experience may depend on how on the ball your particular DS is.

Model S Order & Delivery Tracker

For giggles I did some frequency graphs of production, delivery, and production + delivery times for orders since April (Q2+Q3 2015.) It looks like 2-4 weeks is typical for production start to delivery. Two weeks for California, 3-4 for rest of US/Canada. You can see them @ Tesla...

Seats: To Next Gen or not to Next Gen....that is the question

When I asked about test driving textile seats in Walnut Creek, the salesman was able to get on in a few days. Honestly, for a short test drive I thought the textile seats were fine and I couldn't sense much of a difference from the next gens. They seem very well made. I did go with the next gens...

Model S Order & Delivery Tracker

Mys S90D #102758 currently says "Late August - September." My DS said though that it would be Late September-October. Given that mine is still in the production queue and hasn't actually entered production yet, I tend to believe the DS. I don't know how they calculate the web site delivery...
