I have been on 2 round trips through Tehachapi, SF -> Dallas -> SF; SF -> Big Bear -> SF. I had plenty of charge between Bakersfield (I5) and Barstow. Did not even consider Mojave.

Many, many years ago I drove The Trans-Canada Highway via Thunder Bay, Winnepeg, Calgary, etc down into USA just before Vancouver, then Seattle I-5 to SF. In the winter, in a 1989 5.0 Mustang !!! (with winter tires)

I was by myself. It would be much better with another driver, I had to make sure to take rest breaks instead of alternating drivers and in car resting. I have done the drive a few times in a gas car with another driver, once we just burned through the night, and once with one overnight stop...

I always add a stop C to my A to B trips, and that's usually the next supercharger along the way, that will tell the trip planner you need enough charge to go to C, and if you want to drive around your B stop, dinner etc., be sure to add some extra charge to make it to C.

Just finished a round trip to Toronto area from SF. No range anxiety, plenty of superchargers along the way. I did sometimes charge a bit extra, when I did not feel comfortable rolling in to the next super charger at 4%. I did do some strategic (or so I thought) charging around motel stops...

I did the river cruise from there in 2011, beautiful scenery, on a trip from TO to PEI, pre-tesla days in a minivan. Now looks like I can do the trip in my Tesla, superchargers all along the way now. :cool:

I just got the 2021.44.25.2 update. The release notes say tire pressure moved to Controls > Service. I don’t see tire pressure there.

I agree, yes I did that requested software update. They still forced me to schedule an appointment. I did get a software update in the meantime

Well, it was not fun trying to talk to Tesla support, I tried to have them re-push a software update, but they wanted me to speak with service advisor, who are booked 4 weeks out. I never got a call back from the service advisor. I just happened to get the 2021.40.6 update and all seems well...

I’ve been there only twice, once out, once back. I remember that that area was not so pedestrian friendly, so hit the truck stop first, use the restroom grab some food, then proceed to the supercharger. That’s my plan for the several superchargers that don’t have amenities nearby
