Wh/km (or mi) / range grossly mis-advertised, if not fraudulent... srsly.

I got my MY LR November and I have an EPA of 460km on 20" induction. Like OP, I'm getting terrible range and temps have been hovering around 0 to -3 degC. My lifetime efficiency is 185wh/km (296wh/mile), which as been aweful. Like OP, I'm averaging maybe 200km but thats from 80%-20%. I'm also...

    Canada Waiting Room

That's how I understand it as well but I was reading on differing opinions.

Updating Wheel Configuration for new Winter Tires

Thanks David - I saw that from the manual. The purpose of my post is whether I could select the 19" Gemini since the drop down menu doesn't give me an option that matches the new Replika wheels that have been installed. Sounds like the general concensus is to go with this option. Appreciate...

Updating Wheel Configuration for new Winter Tires

Okay got it. I thought it would make a difference in range based on what Tesla says

Updating Wheel Configuration for new Winter Tires

Sorry but I'm still confused. My new winter setup is 255/45/19 over the stock 20" induction wheels. Should I still change the wheel configuration to 19" Gemini? Again, using the Michelin x ice. Thanks

Updating Wheel Configuration for new Winter Tires

Thanks I'll give that a shot. Hoping to hear other opinions as well. I just didn't want to ruin anything with the car if I chose the 19" Gemini setting for non tesla wheels

Updating Wheel Configuration for new Winter Tires

Thanks. But if your using aftermarket wheels, which setting would you choose? Would you just choose the 19" Gemini wheels ?

    Close call with Autosteer

Thanks, I didn't realize that. Still learning with this car!

Updating Wheel Configuration for new Winter Tires

Hi All, I searched the forums but I couldn't find the answer to this question. I bought 19" Replika R241 wheels wrapped in Michelin X-Ice tires. I noticed under the Wheel Configuration setting, it's still shown as 20" Induction Wheels. It doesn't look like my tire shop that did the swap for me...

    Canada Waiting Room

Do we know for certain that the Canadian version of the MYLR is using LFP batteries from Shanghai? Or is it still using NMC? Would make sense that it's NMC given that the car is telling me only to charge to 80%.

    Canada Waiting Room

I just got the canadian version of the MYLR and have about 2000kms on it. I've been reading that the LG batteries in Shanghai have a slightly different chemistry and that they can charge higher than the Panasonic batteries coming from Fremont. I can't find any evidence of this and my dashboard...

    Close call with Autosteer

I had a close call with Autosteer the other day on my brand new MYLR (2023 Canadian Version). I was using it on the road with my wife and my infant daughter. Everything was going well when suddenly the car veered to the right onto the other lane without warning. Luckily, I had my hands on the...

Canadian Owner and Dissapointed with new MY LR Range

Thanks for this. I would still rather be in your situation. My EPA rating is 460km (using 20" Induction wheels) and I'm using the smaller battery from Shanghai. I also only charge to 80% so I should get a theoretical range of 368km. This week, I've been getting 182wh/km (291.2wh/mi), which isn't...

Canadian Owner and Dissapointed with new MY LR Range

I agree with this. I haven't had the car long enough to have a very good average. Additionally, when I test drove the Model Y, it was in the summer so theres that factor as well. To answer a few questions: 143 miles was one trip. I'm not making any chances to the car when its parked...

Canadian Owner and Dissapointed with new MY LR Range

I suppose so, but just barely. I'm just upset that we get the lower capacity battery, while paying the same amount. Just kinda annoyed that my co-workers are getting high 400s to low 500kms

Canadian Owner and Dissapointed with new MY LR Range

Hello All, I'm a new MY LR owner from Canada, and I have to say this car has been a disappointment. I thought I had done enough research prior to purchasing the car in October. My number one complaint is the abysmal range that I've been getting. I had test drove the MYLR overnight from Tesla...

New '23 MY Humming Noise when Parked

Thanks! I think the issue is because I didn't set my home in the maps. This was causing sentry mode to be active all night, which also explains the battery drain. Noise turned off once I disabled sentry mode.

New '23 MY Humming Noise when Parked

I'm in Canada, and I received my new '23 MY. Super excited to be part of the club! I noticed that the car makes a humming noise, which runs all night. It can be heard from the exterior and interior. I also checked Tesla manual and listened to the normal noises, but this doesn't seem to fall in...
