Charge limit setting missing under charging controls: 2014 S85 with 2021.44.25.2

I haven't been able to drive the car for a few days, but has anyone determined if the app is correctly setting the charge limit?

The MCU2 stepchildren got V11 update and it ain't pretty

Tried these, no dice. Sounds like it's something to do with older Model S with MCU upgrade: Charge limit setting missing under charging controls: 2014 S85 with 2021.44.25.2

    12v Help!

I've heard it's more of a pain the butt to change them on older RWD models like mine, and I don't have tons of time between job & fam. Of course, I don't have time for a dead car either. Ugh. Just not exactly the binary choice I was hoping for at only ~5 years into ownership.

    12v Help!

I got the 12v Battery Needs Service warning. After calling in, they tell me I should have 2-3 weeks before it dies. So I schedule the soonest mobile appointment the app will let me. A week later the mobile tech texts me that 12v batteries are out of stock with no ETA on resupply. I ask if I...

    Current S60 owners - how’s battery/ supercharging?

Same boat here. '14 S 60 with 47k miles. Charged yesterday to 100% for short road trip and only had 169 rated range. Had to drive more carefully on a menial 61-mile round trip (given some elevation change and ~40 degree F temps) than I have had to in the past.

Should Tesla be worried about the Taycan?

I wasn't complaining, just observing. Media was treating this as a Tesla competitor, but when it's a quarter-million dollar Porsche, it's not a serious volume production vehicle.

Detailer in Orange County XPEL Nanoskin and Paint Correction

+1 for Dave @ Innovative Detailing. He freshened up my '14 S60 with paint correction and ceramic sealant. I've been getting non-stop comments about the car since (including some Tesla employees!)

Should Tesla be worried about the Taycan?

I hadn't initially realized just how expensive the Taycan is. You can easily option this car up to $250k. Starting price alone makes this irrelevant with regard to Tesla's current line-up. When 2020 Roadster comes along they can have their halo-car pissing contest, but otherwise it's a...

    Driveshaft clicking ok?

Can't speak for anyone else, but I brought mine in for this issue (and to catch up on recalls). They did the lube and torque stuff. Didn't help. When I brought it back they say they start with that as a default (and it may fix your issue). My tech today said they may have the "sound team"...

    Driveshaft clicking ok?

My '14 S60 is at the Costa Mesa service center with this very issue. Will let you know the outcome. Several test drives with techs to verify the noise. Not normal. And with only 44k on my odo, not something I want to live with for years to come. We'll see! Edit: interesting thing we found...

    Intro and question

I'd strongly suggest having the electrical work done for home charging. One of the best things about owning this car is getting home, plugging in, and not ever having to worry about it.

Should Tesla be worried about the Taycan?

Taycan is a complete validation of Tesla's business model circa 2013. I'm sure the interior will be very nice and it will handle well. Otherwise, it's technologically outdated. Some will buy it just because it's a Porsche, but there's only so many times you can go to that well.

Eeeeeek! Drove an ICE car for the first time in a year.

This is one thing that I think still is not understood by folks who drive ICE cars. The perceived "convenience" of being able to quickly refill your gas tank during once-in-a-while road trips is so laughably far outweighed by never having to think about range or fuel on a daily basis. It truly...

Highly recommended Wheel Refinisher / Powder coat shop in Orange County

Follow up here, had a great experience with Luis, super nice guy. He powdercoated rims and calipers while I was on vacation, and was very flexible in terms of drop off and pick up arrangements. Price was very fair as well. Thank you Luis! Car needed a new pair of shoes after 5 years :)

Buying a used Model S, need some input

I support the consensus, more recent the better. Have you test driven them before? If you are only going to have it for a couple years anyway, you could probably get a newer non-P -- these are still very quick cars.

Shop willing to install rear facing seats in Los Angeles area?

Used Model S or New Chevy Bolt

Bolt actually has pretty good cargo space. The tall and slightly ungainly profile is the reason why. Trying to be objective for the OP, here are some pros and cons on the Bolt: Pros Cheaper to buy than a used Model S Cheaper to own than a used Model S Available now, which means federal tax...

Drilled and Slotted performance brake rotor for Model 3?

Stock brakes are gonna cool faster than the battery anyway, unless you just want them for aesthetics which is fine. Edit: we posted at the same time, yeah, I think you have already hit on the major issue, that being that they tend to cost a pretty penny. You could always drop a line to...
