    Tesla Alternative?

I like the Rivian steering wheels better than teslas new one, also, they have stalks!

    Stalkless....until 2026 anyway!

Force a stalk for indicator please.

    New Highland UK - stalks

If it's bad enough I believe you can return the car. Actually if you find it affects your driving I recommend you return the car. It's safer for you and other road users and if enough customer do this Tesla might finally get the message.

Tesla all weather mats for Model Y

The user manual (though it's the LHD shown) implies it's made in US, I'm willing to pay more for non China products. Yes I'm aware the car was made in China, sadly there're no alternative.

Tesla all weather mats for Model Y

I guess that happens everywhere, manufacturer charging premium for "authentic" accessories. I may go for the mat just because I can return it without a second thought if it doesn't fit in slightest way - Tesla made the car so they'd have no excuse to mess that up. I mean, I am not even asking...

Tesla all weather mats for Model Y

Also incoming - 1:18 die cast model Y, bad news though - it’s priced at £150 (!) and it’s LHD MYP, just gave me enough reason to pass…

    Charging habits

I still couldn't get over the idea that charging the car everyday is better than charge when it gets low - I thought batteries have limited number of recharge cycles before the capacity degrade? That's physics and they haven't solved it yet, right?

What do you do with your house keys (for those that use their phone as a car key)?

That was my concern, but posters above seem to think the Nuki can just be put on despite the handle would blocks the Nuki from being attached to the door....

What do you do with your house keys (for those that use their phone as a car key)?

from the installation videos it seems the Nuki are supposed to stick to the door, so how would it work with the multi point doors?

What do you do with your house keys (for those that use their phone as a car key)?

I'm thinking to install this as well, but I read a lot poor review regarding the App. I'm not sure if the reviews were submitted before the app was updated, how do you find it?

Auto Defogger - how to turn it off ?

on side note - if I turn off A/C does it mean heat pump will stop working? I only do short trips so more often than not I'd be in my outdoor clothing when I drive, I'd like to turn it off to save some range. edit: I mean, if I keep the fan on the air will still circulate and there shouldn't be...

    So… Highland is out…

The new steering wheel looks cluttered, I prefer my 2022 version which is just 1 scroll wheel each side. I like the implication that the function of the buttons can be changed via software. If I'm on the "1 button marked for 1 function" camp I'd not be buying a Tesla. (Yes I know the stalk has...

    UK Highland Orders

losing the indicator stalk, fog light, USS can't say I'm a big fan of this "upgrade"

What do you do with your house keys (for those that use their phone as a car key)?

I've yet to make the switch simply because there are not many competition thus no bar to compare this against. Have you got one?

    So… Highland is out…

I drove past dozen roundabouts each day, at least a handful of them I need to indicate exiting. I don't think one would realise how much they might need that stalk with just a test drive...

    So… Highland is out…

    You think he would indicate?

    So… Highland is out…

They've added bumper camera and I'd say that can be a adaquet replacement for parking sensor How they think that camera could be kept clear enough for parking, I have no idea.

    So… Highland is out…

I had to wonder - what would it takes for them to realise your thumb is no where near the indicator buttons when you're turning in a roundabout?

Not sure I'm enjoying my MY after 8 months

By the time they fix those you might be looking at one without an indicator stalk.

Wiki Everything you wanted to know about Intelligent Octopus But Were Afraid To Ask

I have the tesla wall connector. Since I joined IO, the charging sessions (post IO switch) no longer shows up in tesla app charing history. Is it a bug?

    Anyone received HW4 in UK?

Does HW4 means no indicator stalks though?

Wiki Everything you wanted to know about Intelligent Octopus But Were Afraid To Ask

I just joined octopus and thru the app I *think* I've setup IO, question is - it says there's cheap electricity available 11:30 - 05:30, does it apply to the car charging only or other appliance in the house? (assume it's able to tell). Since it's made a charging schedule, does it mean the...

Model Y Hankook tyres - how many miles would you expect from them?

I am looking in KwitFit and I believe this is for Model Y LR R19? https://www.kwik-fit.com/tyres/search/details/hankook/hankook-k127e-silent/T1037602 And it is more expensive than a Michelin??

Best mats for Model Y ?

Interesting Tesla haven't bothered to make the weather proof mats themselves

My nightmare relationship with Tesla came to an end today

You lost me when you somehow might consider getting a Model S in the future. These things aren't model specific. I'd say it's not really about Tesla build quality but rather you just feel Model 3 is cheap?

Rumour: Model 3/Y to lose stalks in 2023 model year

Actually this is a very important point - through out their development it's likely a right handed person in a LHD environment deciding what could be moved to the touch screen. I'm right handed in a RHD country, using the touch screen with my weak hand while driving FEEL LIKE *sugar*

M3 LR Steering wheel feels funny

If steering isn't smooth it isn't normal. When we say our car can't drive straight it's because we can't steer the wheel exactly like we wish because of the "notchs", not that it's swaying itself.

Steering wheel not able to drive straight

So...I guess since I didn't order FSD they gave me a car with single chip, and that variant doesn't play well with the new firmware so they have to replace my steering rack to a double chipped one? Cost saving comes back biting them in the end huh?

    [UK] 2023.2.x

File a service request - I have that issue since 2.10, thought it'd be a software issue, brought the car in to check turns out they need to replace the steering rack. May be a batch of defective rack showing problem with updated firmware

    [UK] 2023.2.x

Been a week since 2.10 cause this problem to my car, I raised a SR and no response yet. Now my MYLR drive like *sugar* as I constantly twiddle the wheel between steps just so I'm not running into other cars, it really strains my arm.

Steering wheel not able to drive straight

How do you escalate your request? Mine had been sitting here for a week and it's still "in review" edit: my VIN ends with 423xxx so I guess mine is between you and your friends

Steering wheel not able to drive straight

I created a service request last wednesday and it is still stuck at "reviewing". They've created this problem which impacts my driving and I got no response for a week, is it just Tesla CS or?

Steering wheel not able to drive straight

Mine is - though only happen after the 2023.2.10 update ( at least in my case ) so I'm not sure if the manufacturung plant is a factor.

Steering wheel not able to drive straight

I've created a request as well but they haven't got me a schedule yet. I had it submitted as "something else", may be I should change the type to driver assistance

    [UK] 2023.2.x

Same as me, upgrade applied last night. I did tried 2 button reset, didn't help. Would pedal+buttons reset make any difference? If so I might try before my next drive. Going to create a service request, I felt like I couldn't drive straight on carriageway as I can't steer between the steps...

    [UK] 2023.2.x

2023.2.10 - something had changed regarding the steering. Turning used to feel smooth, now it feels as if there're steps, making turns feels like clicky. The clicking can be felt even when I steer in park. Is that a known issue? edit: When I google steering and 2023.2.10 all I got is heated...
