    Pricing Revealed

Give it a few months after it comes out. Tesla will drop prices like they were doing with the current lineup this whole year.

Discussion: Model 3 and Y price drop Jan 2023 / April 2023 / Oct 2023 and All other Pricing Speculation going forward

Anyone recently sell their Model 3 SR LFP? I bought back in November of 2022 after waiting months to take delivery and the recent price drops + tax credit are starting to get to me. I'm thinking of just downgrading to an older car for the time being (like old Honda Pilot or Toyota Highlander)...

What product to use to clean back of seats?

I have the black interior but the plastic (I think it’s plastic?) on the back of the seat has some white scuffs on it. What products to use to clean the back part of the seats? Is there an all purpose cleaner to use to clean the front of the seats, back of seats and the dashboard?

Best LFP Charging Practices when going on vacation?

The battery drain is not bad at all. When I took my car to get warranty work done, the Tesla advisors left my car parked outside in the Florida sun with sentry mode on and overheat protection. For like 2 days while I was driving the loaner, my car dropped like only 3%. I’m going to be at home...

Best LFP Charging Practices when going on vacation?

So much analysis in this thread way above my pay grade 😅 I guess before I go on vacation I'll drive my car down to about 50% and just leave it unplugged in my garage the entire time and charge it back up to 100% when I get back before I drive it again.

Best LFP Charging Practices when going on vacation?

Would it be better to leave it plugged in with the charge limit set to 50%? Then when I get back just charge it to 100% before driving it again? I noticed the idle battery drain is not bad. I could also easily charge it to 50% and leave it unplugged until I get back but what’s better for the...

Best LFP Charging Practices when going on vacation?

I am planning on taking a 3 week vacation soon and will be leaving my M3 RWD in the garage for the duration. What is the best way to take care of the battery? Regularly, I'll drive the car down to about 30-40% and charge it back up to 80% - then also make sure to charge it to 100% once per week...

Brining jack pads to 3rd party garages necessary?

Looks like if I want to be on the safe side, my best bet is to buy a set of jack pads and install them myself in the parking lot so I know whoever are the employees working that day will see them when they place it on the lift. Any recommendations for good quality pads to buy? I'd rather avoid...

Brining jack pads to 3rd party garages necessary?

Specifically with Discount Tire? My first tire rotation is coming up and I know lifting a Tesla is different than a regular car. Should I buy a set of jack pads and install them in the parking lot when I go somewhere like Discount Tire? My biggest fear is an employee that is rushing or doesn't...

Squeaky /creaky driver's seat issue identified

Has this happened to anyone else? My car has <5k miles on it and when I go to sit in the drivers seat you can hear it squeaking sounding like the noise is coming from the back of the seat. The squeaking noise gets louder when you accelerate from a stop, which is starting to get annoying now...

Does the car notify you of maintenance intervals?

I’m loving this maintenance plan already 😀. I definitely want to rotate the tires regularly since it’s RWD also. Does the mobile Tesla maintenance cost a lot? Discount tire is fairly cheap and I’m glad they have their own pucks. If you also buy tires from Discount Tire you also get free tire...

Does the car notify you of maintenance intervals?

I picked up a 2023 Model 3 RWD LFP and I've already put about 3k miles on it. Does the car notify you when maintenance is required like having a maintenance light like in a ICE car? I saw the owners manual recommends bringing it in at 6,250 miles for a tire rotation so that is the only thing I...

Can anyone share their experience using a Tesla collision center

Specifically the Tesla collision center in Orlando, FL? I was rear-swiped recently in a hit and run leaving some damage, a detailing shop was able to get most of the damage out but there are parts of the number where the paint is completely gone and the rear quarter panel has a slight curve to...

Anybody have the slightest jerky feeling when the car engages brake hold?

Not necessarily the car actually moving but feels like something is engaging when it comes to a complete stop. Feels like a parking brake is being applied when hold is activated

Anybody have the slightest jerky feeling when the car engages brake hold?

I agree, it doesn’t feel as refined as I was expecting. Having the brake hold make a slight movement as it engages always makes me feel like the car is about to breakdown or something since it kind of reminds me when my ICE car had auto stop/start on the engine

Anybody have the slightest jerky feeling when the car engages brake hold?

I'm loving the one-touch pedal driving on my 2023 M3 but noticed when the car comes to a stop and enables the "Hold" feature, I feel the slightest movement. It feels like something is engaging under the car. Is this like a parking brake being engaged? Anyone else notice something similar to this...

Got rear ended - damage does not look too bad but how should I proceed?

The Tesla certified body shop quoted me $1500 to fix everything since they would want to take the entire bumper off and repaint the entire thing. The rear quarter panel above the rear bumper has a slight indented curve to it but no real paint damage. I think my plan is going to be have the...

Got rear ended - damage does not look too bad but how should I proceed?

Got back from the detailing shop and they can buff out the majority of the damage and light scratches. There is a 2 inch slim section where the paint went all the way through and you can see the black bumper. I have an appointment on Friday for the detail work so I’ll post a picture when it’s...

Got rear ended - damage does not look too bad but how should I proceed?

Ah ok, my scrape was near the charge port so that’s why I’m a little cautious. Didn’t realize any small dents like that it could cost so much money. I’m just hoping the panel didn’t bubble in and dent some internal component. I’ll keep this thread updated when I go to the detailer and post what...

Got rear ended - damage does not look too bad but how should I proceed?

$12k damage from a parking lot accident? Glad to know Tesla doesn’t put any sensitive tech near the body panels that could get crushed or bent but how does that kind of damage happen in a parking lot? Are you still driving around with a huge dent in the back of the car? Something like a Tesla...

Got rear ended - damage does not look too bad but how should I proceed?

In the first pic? It’s just a reflection of a building in the parking lot I was in. The panel itself doesn’t have any bumps or dents but my paranoia is telling me the panel above the bumper got pushed in like 1mm? The 2 panels are not perfectly flush but I guess good enough. The other side that...

Got rear ended - damage does not look too bad but how should I proceed?

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I sent the pictures to a mobile retailer and he said it’s fixable. Im going in person to another detailing shop later today to have them inspect and hopefully buff it out and apply color correct. The scrape happened at like 1-2mph. There are no dents whatsoever...

Got rear ended - damage does not look too bad but how should I proceed?

Is it fine to bring it to 3rd party shops or should you only stick with Tesla certified places for body work? Just to make sure the paint matches perfectly

Got rear ended - damage does not look too bad but how should I proceed?

I'm hoping a detailing place can restore this like new with a few hundred dollars. Do you know how much something like this would cost from a Tesla partnered collision shop? Wondering if I need to get my insurance involved.

Got rear ended - damage does not look too bad but how should I proceed?

Got rear ended like at 1mph, it was more of a scrape from the person behind me. It was a hit and run and the dash cam footage does not show the license plate unfortunately. It looks as if there is no dents and it's just swirls and paint rub from the other car, I can feel some minor scratches on...

Model 3 recommendations for accessories and protection?

I am picking up my Model 3 next week and want to be proactive in ordering items that will help me prolong the life of the car in general and have necessities that make living with the car even easier. So far my plans are to do the following when I get the car: Screen protector - Any brands to...

SR/SR+ (Model 3 RWD) Waiting Room

Can anybody share how long it took them to get the "schedule delivery" text? It's been 8 days since a VIN appeared in my account but I still have not got the notification to schedule my delivery yet. Do I need to make the final payment or anything through the app? I'm just assuming the car is...

SR/SR+ (Model 3 RWD) Waiting Room

Yup, I have the same EDD and ordered back in May. I’m hoping it’s true but seeing all the orders they need to backfill from 2021 it looks like our EDDs will probably be pushed to 2023.

Few questions before I purchase my first Model 3

Thankfully my commute isn’t horrible and I will be able to charge at home just using the standard mobile connector. As for expecting delays till Q1, will this mean if I don’t receive a VIN till November/December will Tesla build 2023 models for all existing orders? I would imagine this would...

Few questions before I purchase my first Model 3

Test drove a M3 today and fell in love. I’m completely new to EVs and Teslas in general so want to figure somethings out before I make the purchase. 1. Is it worth stepping up to the long range for the extra miles? I did some research and it looks like all M3 RWD cars come with LFP batteries...
