    Navigation on the iPhone app

This does not happen on the Tesla app on my iPhone 14 (latest iOS and latest version of Tesla App). I do the following: 1. Go to Tesla App 2. Select Location 3. Select Navigate and enter address 4. Route shows up with charging stations stops and option to "Send to Car" Hope this helps.

2024 Model 3 Performance Announced - Discussion thread post announcement

Both the old and new fronts are OK for me but I just wish they had kept the fog lights (at least as an option) for the new car

2024 Model 3 Performance Announced - Discussion thread post announcement

Great car at a great price/benefit ratio. Would have definitely ordered it if I were in the market right now. Meanwhile, I am patiently waiting for Tesla to drop the current price ($2K) on the acceleration boost for the M3LR so that my 0-60 becomes 3.7s :)

All I can say after almost 6 years of ownership

Oh OK, that might be it why they charge you more than $58+tax for the air filter mobile service. I scheduled through the app and the service center is about 30 miles from my address.

All I can say after almost 6 years of ownership

$58 is correct, I had it recently done with mobile service. $61.50 including tax

Munro Associates Review of 2024 Model 3

There are no fog lights in Model 3 Highland
  7. T4M3

Munro Associates Review of 2024 Model 3

The same applies for fog lights. Why not make them optional?

Munro Associates Review of 2024 Model 3

100% agreed on the stalks. We could get used to it but let's also think about other regions in the world where parallel parking and 3-point turns are very common or where they have to signal at roundabouts. Minimalist design is not always better, at least they should have made it optional

Munro Associates Review of 2024 Model 3

Nice review but he lost me when he said: "Fog lights? I do not use fog lights!" I actually prefer cars with dedicated fog lights and was kind of disappointed that they do not have them on the refreshed Model 3

My Tesla Model 3 Highland experience – 1000 kilometres and 2 weeks later (in Ireland)

Congrats on your new Model 3 and thanks for sharing all the info

Why choose Model 3 over Model Y if you can have more trunk space?

Interesting discussion here. I like red, I like white, I like yellow, etc :) Both models are great, just enjoy!
  12. T4M3

    Y to 3 (Highland)

Very different cars indeed. As suggested, take a long test drive with the Model 3 and decide afterwards.

New 2022 MS LR owner, very happy compared with M3

Yeah, regarding Tesla build quality it is indeed a hit or miss. My 2022 Model 3 LR has been excellent, no issues so far (knocking on wood) whereas my friend's 2023 Model Y has been now three times to the shop for a rattle and they still could not figure out the source :(

19" Sport Wheels with All-Season Tires for Model 3

I am currently on 18" Aero Wheels and want to do an upgrade. On the Tesla accessory site, I see only 19" Sport Wheels with Winter Tires for the Model 3. Is there a possibility to purchase 19" Sport Wheels with All-Season Tires for the Model 3? If yes, what is the typical brand of tires they sell?

Discussion: Model 3 Price reductions - Jan / April / Oct 2023 and all other pricing discussions

If you are really not in a hurry, I would suggest waiting until the new models/refresh's arrive and also give some time for those to settle in a bit (since early iterations usually have some bugs which are ironed out in the first or second quarter). Prices will most likely stabilize and you will...

Discussion: Model 3 Price reductions - Jan / April / Oct 2023 and all other pricing discussions

Super discounts right now: I see M3LR for 44K and M3P for 48K. Those are crazy deals if you also qualify for the 7.5K tax credit. Would get one if I were in the market right now.

Almost two years, i.e., "Honeyyears" phase still continuing :)

    NEW Model 3 Highland review!

Do you ride on 18" or 19" wheels? I do have the 18" on my 2022 M3LR and I am pretty happy with the ride quality, not too stiff and not too soft.
  19. T4M3

    NEW Model 3 Highland review!

I like the new styling and improvements of the new "Highland" but essentially they are saying that the drivetrain (i.e., the electrical motors) and the battery technology stayed the same with the current Model 3. In addition to that, I usually avoid first and second year iterations of any new...

Discussion: Model 3 Price reductions - Jan / April / Oct 2023 and all other pricing discussions

Well, it's a free country and a free economy. I got my M3LR back in 2022 for 51K+tax (no credit) and now it is available at 46K+tax and there is a 7.5K tax credit, so I am in the red for a bit more than 12.5K. Do I have any regrets? None at all. I have been driving the car for about 1.5 years...

Switch from Y to 3 order?

The current inventory prices on the 3's are very discounted. You could just burn your $250 and get a heavily discounted 3.
  22. T4M3

    NEW Model 3 Highland review!

Indeed crazy discounts on inventory right now and I think I would have gone for it if I were in the market right now. Regarding no stalks, I am not a big fan but would most likely get used to it. Regarding fog lights, I would have them separate on the bumper as with the current generation...

    NEW Model 3 Highland review!

Used to be like that in the mid-sized US town I live in North Carolina but in the past three years, they have been converting many intersections to roundabouts. I believe the trend is that also here in the US, we will get more and more roundabouts. Also, as far as I recall, the last time I drove...

    NEW Model 3 Highland review!

Interesting that the fog lights in the bumper were removed BTW, I am checking out the German Tesla site here: https://www.tesla.com/de_de/model3/design#overview

    Total loss [Is this totaled?]

IMO no way for $8500. My friend had a relatively smaller bumper damage and was quoted $6500 today.

Congrats on your Tesla. I have the same model year and trim. You'll love it.

My teen son wants a new Civic/Corolla Hybrid but I want him to get a new/used RWD 3 ~ same price.

Yes. he wanted to learn to drive with a manual transmission before they are gone for good :)
  28. T4M3

My teen son wants a new Civic/Corolla Hybrid but I want him to get a new/used RWD 3 ~ same price.

FWIW, I got my teenager into a 2014 Focus ST that has 252 HP and 270 lb-ft of torque and now of course I cannot convince him to get into something slower  At one point I suggested to get him into a brand new Civic and he was really very very pissed off. He wants to keep and maintain...

My teen son wants a new Civic/Corolla Hybrid but I want him to get a new/used RWD 3 ~ same price.

How about getting him a non-hybrid Civic/Corolla? Price-point should be better, a safe car and good resale vale.

    Tesla for teenager?

When I was living in Wisconsin, I went through the car wash once a week throughout all winter to avoid any rust due to road salt

Google Maps share to Tesla problems

I am using Google maps on an iPhone 14 (iOS 16.5.1) and do not experience this problem when sharing the address from Google maps to the Tesla app

    Tesla for teenager?

My son (16 yrs old) is driving a 2014 Focus ST (with manual transmission). He is sad that manuals and ICE cars will be gone soon, so he is enjoying his ST while it is still available :)

Right head light stopped working for a day, now it is working again

Sorry, I think I have not understood your question. Yes, the problem had happened again and they told me that they run a diagnostic and that they need to replace the whole unit. The issue was that the unit they installed was defective as well :)
  34. T4M3

Right head light stopped working for a day, now it is working again

Nope, the previous one had the LED not lit up at all. This one is different. The LED bulb height cannot be properly adjusted. Even at its lowest setting, it is blinding on-coming traffic. So different head light, different problem :(
  35. T4M3

Right head light stopped working for a day, now it is working again

So the right head light was replaced under warranty, but guess what, the replaced unit was defective as well. I am now waiting again for part availability :( So it will be about a month for me now without a functioning right head light.
  36. T4M3

Was there ever a discount on the acceleration boost, or was it always $2,000?

As the title asks, can we expect a discount, ever?
  37. T4M3

Right head light stopped working for a day, now it is working again

My appt has been pushed back by two weeks citing parts shortage. So I assume the ranger is coming with parts and if there is an issue, they will change it. I'll also keep the appt for the time being although the past three days there was no issue.
  38. T4M3

Right head light stopped working for a day, now it is working again

As the title says, my right head light did not function for a day. It is functioning now but I still have a mobile service scheduled for this week. Could it be a connector problem or maybe the LEDs starting to give up? The car is just a bit over a year old, so I assume it is covered under...

locked car won't open occasionally even with my iPhone in hand.

Have the same problem from time to time. That is why I installed one of the available keyfob apps on my Apple Watch. If my iPhone does not unlock the car, I just click on the keyfob app on my Apple Watch to unlock the car. This is the app I am using. It has not a great user interface but it is...

Own a 2022 ID4 Pro/s but interested in the model 3 performance. Have some questions

M3P did not get reduced with the latest price drop, still at $52,990, but of course we don't know what will happen next. For example, I got my M3LR last year at $50,990, just $2K below the current M3P price and there was no EV tax credit at that time. Wondering what the M3LR price will be once...

Own a 2022 ID4 Pro/s but interested in the model 3 performance. Have some questions

Agreed, the M3P at this price point (and if you qualify for the EV tax credit) is a steal with that level of performance + range you are getting. If I were in the market right now, I would go for that 100%.
  46. T4M3

Tire Rotation NOT necessary if tread wear is even?

Had the same experience with my mobile rotation service appointment. 9K miles on 2022 M3LR. Said the wear is even. I will re-check at around 15K

Own a 2022 ID4 Pro/s but interested in the model 3 performance. Have some questions

Of course you could trade in the ID4 now but you will really take a serious hit. Totally different cars the ID4 and the Model 3 Performance. Did you test drive both before you got the ID4?

Rear ended M3 [is this totaled?]

From what I understand is that if the other driver is at fault, your insurance can take care of your repair and will follow up with the other driver's insurance to get the money from them; i.e., it saves you the hassle to deal with the other driver's insurance. Also, since the other driver is at...

Glad you are safe. My initial guess is that it is totaled. Please report back once you hear from the insurance company.

Should I lower it or leave it?

I always leave my cars at their original riding height. Just my 2 cents and personal preference of course.
