Don't know about more brake upgrade options other than from RB, MP & UP. But what I can say is that I've now had plenty of time with my (oem sized) brake rotor & pad upgrades from RB...and I'm still super pleased with the performance improvement over oem! The car just stops much, much better...

Yes, I got FSD v10.8 about 3 1/2 - 4 weeks ago with that "holiday update" when my Safety Score got to 97 if I recall and now I'm on the latest v10.9 FSD w/ s/w 2021.44.30. Still not seeing the much hyped improvements though...it's quite SKETCHY at best, imho.

You guys need to remember that the P Taycan EVs (and sister Audi EVs) use regenerative braking only when the brakes are actually used, unlike almost all other EVs including Tesla that uses regenerative braking simply by letting off on the accelerator. Porsche/Audi WANT you to use your brakes...

Nothing. I still don't have ANC in the Sound Options menu. Although I understand I'm not missing much, something isn't right here with my car since I have the latest s/w update but don't have ANC. I have a service appt scheduled for 1/3/22.

Downloaded & installed 2021.44.6 on my Plaid 2 days ago and still don't have ANC. Still not understanding how this feature "turns itself on" and appears suddenly out of nowhere without another s/w update? If it's truly in 44.6, then why not make it active immediately with the 44.6 update? 🤔 ☹️

FWIW -- I still have my RB XT910 street pads on with my RB drilled/slotted rotors (oem sizes) and everything is working great after several weeks now...no squeals, no more brake dust than oem, but the braking system is definitely improved now on my MS Plaid! It brakes with confidence now and...

I think smooth side out and textured side inward toward the tire makes more sense, right? Maybe I'm wrong but it looked like that's the way you have them on your car, no?

Yes, that was my point. I was only saying that since the Plaid is a 1,020HP/1,050 ft/lb TQ to the wheels vehicle (& it's very heavy at > 4,800lbs), it's extremely powerful meaning it can get up to high speed very quickly AND you need really powerful BRAKES to slow/stop it.

Yes and no. I've seen MS Plaid videos online where they show how difficult it is for the MS Plaid to slow down from higher speeds and they comment on how "terrible the Tesla oem brakes are." The oem brakes just do not demonstrate confidence in slowing & stopping this heavy, powerful vehicle...

I would say your MS Plaid brakes are/were about the same as my MS Plaid oem brakes when I test-drove your car several months ago. It took a good amount of force to slow the car from high speeds and although we didn't test it that much that day, I bet there would be a good amount of brake fade...

Yes, the XT910 are their "street" pads, but they do also offer their XT970 "track" brake pads as well, which can be used on the street. In addition, they also offer larger-than-oem rotors & a BBK for the MS Plaid for the track. You have choices or you can wait for MP and the other companies.

RB's same-as-oem-size rotors 380mm/365mm with XT910 brake pads. Save 10% on Car Kit (380/365) for Tesla Plaid & LR Front & Rear (P/N 2679-K & 2435P-K) Basically, they help my MS Plaid slow & stop better. Period. Not so squishy with less brake overheating & less brake fade. No squeaks...

Have you tried to slow your MS Plaid down (with the oem brake rotors & pads) from high speeds on the track and/or in Mexico of course ;) ? It's not a good feeling. See how you feel doing this with higher performance, different compound pads? Although I still suspect the oem rotors just cannot...

Except that maybe, perhaps just 2% of TMC MS Plaid owners will be tracking their Plaids. The vast majority only cares about slowing/stopping more efficiently from higher speeds and/or in emergency situations on the street. If I wanted a "track car," I wouldn't have sold my modded '12 GT-R back...
