Bought a used LR + model X recently. Love the car but I’m pretty sure it has the half shaft issue. Grinds/vibrates with hard acceleration. Drives great otherwise. I know I can get them half shafts replaced under warranty but it seems this is likely to be a recurrent issue. I’ve read about these...

I didn’t try. The dealer wasn’t able to transfer ownership so I couldn’t register a payment method. Will need to wait for the V5C

I’m not sure what a captive cable is. It’s an Ohme charger I got a couple of years ago. The cable is a tethered type 2. Works fine with the sorento PHEV. Hopefully it’ll be fine with the Tesla 🤞

The seller just replied advising the car comes with both cables and the adaptor. Thanks again for your help.

Thanks. I have a 7kwh charger at home. Will I be able to plug the car directly into that. Feel a bit daft. I’ve been following the EV world for years and suddenly realise I’m useless when it comes to the various charging types!

Picking up a Tesla next weekend. I have a pretty long drive back and was hoping I’d be able to use the Tesla network rather than rely on the public network. If the car is transferred to me on Sunday and I update card details etc will I be able to use the network that day? ** it’s a used car

Can anyone tell me the main differences between a long range plus 2020 car vs long range. Listed slightly longer range but are there any meaningful differences re hardware, interior charging speed etc.

I think my order price is around 10k below current pricing. They’d have to give it to me for a lot less to buy a LHD car I’m afraid.

I see some optimistic soul is trying to sell a Plaid S for 175k on autotrader. Are they high??

Offered a test drive of LHD X/S next week. Pretty random, rural sort of location. Presumably they don’t want you to experience the joy of LHD in a town/city/motorway.

Also won’t help you trying to sell a LHD car.

Think I’ll give lotus a year to work out the eletre kinks and go for that. Audi A6 etron is the only other car I’d consider. If the Y got some significant upgrades re air suspension, better interior options that might be worth considering.

The minimum offer should have been LHD at previous spec and order price. Not just, take a look at what we have.

If they’re not selling they need to look at the pricing. They have large enough margins on S/X to do that. I guess if the RHD demand isn’t there they need to just say they won’t be making RHD X/S. The lack of communication is really poor.

It’s very odd. They apparently have over 1000 model x in inventory in the states. Why they haven’t started making RHD X/S is bizarre. The massive delay along with zero communication is making me increasingly unlikely to buy a Tesla.

Another significant price cut int he US for Y/3. Doesn’t seem to have made it or the U.K. yet.

I think that was based on his all input is error nonsense. He was equally adamant there would be no wheel option on the S/X.

I think they are likely to reintroduce radar. That would be worth the wait. Tesla vision only hasn’t been received favourably.
