Tesla's Supercharger Team was recently laid off. We discuss what this means for the company on today's TMC Podcast streaming live at 1PM PDT. You can watch on X or on YouTube where you can participate in the live chat.
Today on a freeway that normally it handles just fine. It thought the speed was 65 and put me 15 miles over the speed limit then it went down to 55 and that entire freeway is a 60 mph zone. I must’ve gotten a map update or something, but the speeds were all messed up.
Very weird behavior yesterday when I drove from Cleveland to Erie it was ping-ponging on the freeway like crazy. On my way back today it’s very stable within the lines with just a little bit of ping-ponging. Any ideas on why? Now that I think about it, it could’ve been the wind blowing the car...
I’ve had some weird oddities too. One time it started to go at a green light and then just stopped immediately faking the car behind me out and making me intervene. Also, I did try the blinker to make it turn with no destination in the map and I hit the turn signal just before a right turn lane...
Has anyone noticed with the version 11 Highway stack that it is kind of weaving in the lane a little bit like trying to re-center or something like that?
My mirror fold saved location is not working anymore. Every time I pull into my driveway they fold, but as I start to pull into my garage, they unfold at which I refold them and click save location and it still does the same thing every time any ideas?
Sure that Tesla was getting on the freeway but rather than merging into the open lane she decided to jump 2 lanes into mine. Most likely manual driving.
So my first drive on 12.3.3 it was AMAZING the speed control is much better but slow on turns. I did almost get creamed by a Tesla today and had to disengage and swerve to the left check the video. That was a bit scary. Didn’t wait for v11 to react.
Does the latest version fix the riding on white line issue? Mine was really bad today but i’m on 12.3. Lots of lane wobbling and riding too far right, aren’t the cameras working?
be careful on left turns with a FedEx type truck sticking out it will not make it wide enough. You’ll have to disengage. also, it kind of baffles me that during internal testing the speed issue wasn’t a glaring issue that they wanted to fix before they released the software. I think that’s kind...
So I finally did my first drive with 12.1 and it is absolutely amazing very human like a little sluggish but a quick tap of the accelerator gives it some pep. Awesome new version this gives me hope for the future.
Hypothetical question. Once FSD gets really really good and they start licensing it if it is end to end, does that mean that Tesla will control all of the cars in the world?
Random question, I thought the dash cam records every drive every time however, when I went back to look at the video, it only records, two or three minutes of the beginning of my drives is there anyway to make it record the whole drive every time without pressing the horn?
When I disconnect auto pilot, it goes to full manual driving when before it would keep the speed but let me steer. How do I get it to keep the speed and let me steer in times such as rain when it wants to slow me down so I don’t have to keep my foot on the accelerator.
This latest version has been great to me so far until today where it was a ton of random slowdowns and phantom breaking like it was a scared 16-year-old learning to drive. Maybe they are randomly testing the neural network on it or something I don’t know.
The latest version is actually working really well for me. There is one really bad regression though on a double left turn off of a freeway onto a normal road if there is a car in the left turn lane as I am making the left in the left lane, if it sees a car there, it will swerve into the right...
I think I’m noticing a difference when they are supposedly testing the current software on version 12s neural net. I’ve noticed a few times that the car would actually creep from a stop at 1 mph versus waiting till zero but sometimes it will wait till zero.
Just out of sheer curiosity, since it’s supposed to snow for the first time tomorrow, does anybody know if the antilock brakes actually work or those beta too?
After the latest update when I go to the software screen, it does not look for updates anymore. It just tells me the last date it updated. Is that normal
